Lich King - You think we can master 2 forms with 80 levels?Follow

I have recently been spending some time thinking of how I am going to rearrange my talent tree. I had this thought about the new "Lich King" expansion coming up. Do you think we will be able to put points in our tree so that we can master two forms? you only need 40 points in the Resto tree to get TOL and the Moonkin can be achieved earlier... So with this stated do you think we will be able to add points to our current tree or do you think they will add 70 - 80 only tree powers?
Would love to have both TOL and Moonkin but I am doubting that will ever be possible, although I can hope.

Everyone's thoughts on this would be appreciated.

P.S. Do you also think we can use the Character Customization on a character you already have?

We get 61 points right now at 70, so that should probably be 71 points at 80. You need to spend 31 to get Moonkin form, and 41 to get Tree of Life form. So my guess would be no, you still can't get both.

I hope there are some nice "next tier" talents. I currently have almost all the feral talents and looking at the balance & resto trees, there isn't really anything that will make a big difference to me as a feral.

By the way, the Wowhead talent calculator has a button down the bottom that allows you to set your level cap to 80 so you can play with the talents :)

From what I have read about the new talents they are making for WotLK, they aren't going to be necessary to a build (like most of the TBC ones were) so that people are allowed to create much more wonderous builds.

I would like new ones, not just able to work with other trees.

Nice, I was playing around with it a bit... can now go Dreamstate/Nature's Swiftness and still have Moonkin form. I think Balance Druids will have a little bit more flexibility to off-heal now, which is great.

First thing I'm getting with my extra points though is Celestial Focus. XD

This would be my build, I think:

This would be a nice Balance spec:

And this would be a nice Resto spec.

Assuming, of course, that would be no changes in the talents.

When I got mangle in the feral tree, I put points into resto to get Omen of Clarity, and let me tell you how that one skill has had tremendous effect on my Dps in cat form. Just imagine being able to straight up mangle a target 4 times instead of 3, or getting off a mangle followed by 2 shreds. This happens often enough to make me smile. Get OOC if you are feral, you will not be disapointed.

Everyone always praises Omen of Clarity (and rightly so), but to get to it in the Resto tree you also pick up the very underrated Furor and Naturalist. As a bear tank let me tell you, I love Furor. Having the ability to start off the fight with rage is wonderful. It REALLY shines when you're an offtank in raid situations and have to toss an Innervate or switch from cat to bear for whatever reason; being able to start with a Mangle or begin Lacerates a second sooner is huge. Naturalist is just good all-around, upping cat damage and increasing threat a bit in bear form via your damage output.

There's really very little reason NOT to go into the Resto tree once you've flushed out the Feral tree to Mangle.

I can almost guarantee it will not be possible to master two forms even in Wrath; Boomkin form will likely be moved to a 36-point talent, tree may end up as a 46, mangle may stay as a 41 but hopefully it'll be the prerequisite for an awesome 51-point talent; Leader of the Pack may move down to a 36 or may stay a 31... who knows.

They don't have to move anything. Even with an extra 10 points, you can't get both ToL and Moonkin.

I'd certainly hope they make some worthwhile 51-pt talents, but I wouldn't turn down Nature's Swiftness either...

I wouldn't say no to some sort of Ancient of War summon as the balance 51 point talent (as long as we can do treants as well)

Balance could use some variety in damage, perhaps a debuff like Fairie Fire that increases spelldamage (though I don't think this should be a WotLK thing, it should be added to Fairie Fire) or a Swiftmend-like ability that works with your DoTs.

Maybe our 51 point talent will be Indoor Roots.

I think Micros' idea of an ancient of war summon would be uber. Trees and an ancient of war out... that'd be awesome. That'd probably be overpowered, so they'd probably make the trees upgrade into one ancient of war or something, or 3. For feral, it'd be cool to have some sort of quillbeast form. I read it on the forums earlier, and it'd be kinda cool to have a huntard form or somethin ;P
for resto... maybe somethin similar to binding heal and chain heal, an HoT that would bounce to other targets... I dunno =P

Err...guess you missplaced the link. It is going to the very same build.

I like this better:
