You are a dev for Blizzard, and you've been given the power to switch a talent from one tree to another. You can only switch one talent, and it must be replaced with the talent that you switch it with. However, those talents must remain in the same tier that they are currently located.

Which talents do you swap, and why?

Death Wish and Sweeping Strikes back, because that was a goddamn awful change.

Wait, you probably meant Rogues. For PvE power probably Serrated Blades and Imp. Kick, or Find Weakness and Combat Potency (or Deadliness and Blade Twisting, because that talent is awful). For more versatility probably Dirty Deeds and Quick Recovery, since that'd give Rogues a really dedicated survival tree and might make Mutilate decent again.

You kidding?

Switch Prep with Blade Flurry.

If you don't know why, shoot yourself.

for fun or for balance or to be OP?

------------------

for balance, premed <-> vigor

mutilate lost some of its burst, giving it premed-cs-ea (fw triggered)-cb-muti-ks-muti would be a sick opener that would make mutilate matter again, since it doesnt hold in terms of constant damage like combat/hemo/arprep/anything not daggers does

give it a seriously vicious burst capability then

...and while it would nerf the sub tree, 120 energy shadowstep would make some interesting utility stunlock combos

and most dont go past 30 in sub anyways, feed the masses and ignore the few (id miss premed, but in terms of just balance, thats the needed change

---------------------

FOR FUN!?!?!? imp ks <-> hemo

why? qr+cb+hemo+all the basic pre-cb assassination talents+SF+FW+120 energy... +dw spec+imp sprint+115% move speed? thats hella interesting haha, and would eliminate the need for a hemo nerf

plus, 40 in *** = still prep if want it for hemo, or my suggested would get ya blade flurry... pro pro :)

ar/prep - hemo = ss = no one using hemo = haha fudgeya :P

------------

to be OP? 2 entries (only helps 1 tree and severely nerfs the other lol)..

imp ks <-> PREP

just what mutilate needs, twin vanish twin cb lol, that would burst down a tier 6 prot warrior before he breaks the initial stunlock

OR

41 combat talent <-> shadowstep

unkitable adren rush, with combat potency? weapon specs? and he can grab all of the assassination goodies? that would be amazing for me, tres bullsh*t for anyone else haha

Yes, I was referring to rogues.

This came to me as I was thinking about what build I'll switch to after the Hemo nerf. I said to myself, "Self, you know what would be freaking nails? If they put Deadliness in the Combat tree. Or better yet, if they put Prep in the Assassination tree."

So yeah, those are my two answers. And the idea is not to be balanced, but to create the most OP spec imaginable by switching only one talent.

At least it's a good one.

I'll get one later tonight. I just get distracted fairly easily, and warriors aren't the more fun class to level.

Tell me about it. It's mind numbing. Fury isn't terrible though.

Pretty much anything in the sub tree that's useful I'd put into the Combat tree. I'd even take MoD swapped with dodge.

Seal Fate <-> Blade Twisting. Would make Combat Daggers not suck, which would be nice because I picked up a Fang of Vashj last week simply because nobody else wanted it.

Ugh, this makes me think of the druid feral tree. They get everything good we ever got plus some, without all the cooldowns, in a single tree. :( My feral friend in worse gear than me has more then twice my AP, much better stealth, hits mangle practically harder then I do mutilate, etc... The only problem is, unless he stance dances a lot, he can't stay alive very long... Rogue tends to beat cat.

I'd definitely swap Surprise Attacks for Prep. It's a pretty fair trade by actual dps, and makes combat daggers/fist weapons/anything more viable... (Although, at the same time Swords and Maces get majorly buffed too, so it's not really a difference at all >.<)

Another one would be Combat Potency for, say, Deadened Nerves. No one takes DN anyway, and imagine the energy gen. with mutilate/shiv spam and potency. That would definitely take the edge off combat swords/hemo winning for raid DPS, and make PvP a lot more fun as mutilate too, by making the massive Mutilate damage stay steadier instead of having to wait so long for each mutilate.

Feral druids can have a lot of AP, but I have never seen one high on the damage charts. I have seen Moonkins do good damage a few times though...
