So I finally got to try out maces with my priest friend in 2v2. We did fairly well. Nearly every one of our losses we knew exactly what we did wrong (except for one where he got DC'd).
He's agreed to look into learning a bit more about being a pvp priest (what to dispel and when to do it, for instance neither he or I knew that dispel could remove frost nova. Lol.) as long as I look up a bit more about pvp'n as maces. So some things I noticed today:
-Opening. My attack plan usually went CS -> Hemo -> Hemo -> KS -> AR -> Blade Flurry -> Hemo -> Hemo -> SND -> Hemo spam till 5 point then SnD again. I'd use cooldowns as needed and would pop prep/AR again for when they hit below 30%. On a healer team, I'd sometimes save my blind to blind the healer when their friends hit below 30%. Is there a "better" opening sequence?
-Riposte/Cloak owns mutilate.
-Kick/Shiv is a good way to catch mages.
-Only way you can get an opener off on a mounted opponent is sap then open (why can you even use mounts/water in arena???).
-Priest > Paladin. I realized this now that dealek is finally mana burning/ mass dispelling/ LOS'n.
Any additional tips you guys can throw out? We're going to play again tomorrow, and I'm excited about it.
