Greatest MomentsFollow

Well, as a Druid, it seems like some of my moments in PvP, PvE, Raiding, Instances (anything really) always have a greater level of excitment, compared to my other classes. I just wanted to start a post where everyone can list their greatest 'Druidic' moments or accomplishments and have fun talkin about one anothers. I suppose I'll start.

Last week, my PvP partner and I (2v2) faced an arms warrior and resto druid in PvP (we almost always lose to that pair). We started off on the warrior cause the druid was invisible (we obviously didn't know what spec he was either). And the warrior wasn't dying. We immediately switched targets and I cycloned the warrior to stall his dmg. Took out the resto druid in a matter of seconds. Entangled the warrior again and healed up my partner and I, then we continued to blast him too. Just got us pumped for the rest of our matches cause that was a tough pair for us in the past.

My greatest moment would have to be escaping 5 level 70s at the gurubashi arena (I was 64 at the time). I love how we druids are great escape artists.

Starfire crit on one which sapped him.
Rooted another. Put one pet to sleep. Rejuv. rerooted the other player. Rejuv. Travel form (switching out to cast rejuv and lifebloom when needed.. Cat and stealth when out of range. Laughed as they all rode past me looking for me. =]

Haha I know exactly what you mean, I've squeezed out of some tight situations myself. With large armor, plenty of CC, healing power, and the ability to be faster than any other character... we certainly are expert escape artists.

I have a bunch, but just last week I dinged 58 and headed to the Outland and my husband (whose 70 is a hunter) was all, it's tough out there at 58, it's going to be brutal, you sure you want to abandon all those EPL quests and just go like that, blah blah. I assured him that while he (and his little dog too) might've been whining, I was a druid and I could handle it. Sure enough, I immediately got jumped by 5 mobs (all higher than me) and took 'em all down.

Erm, okay, here's a recent one:
Yesterday I was questing in STV, A.K.A. Gankland. So I take that one quest to kill some Goblins who drop singing rocks or whatever. Just as I get there, I dismount and shift to Cat and stealth.

What I did not notice, however, was a mounted 48 Rogue just in front of me. I stop right next to him, so obviously he sees through my stealth. I did not think about it then, but it must've looked like I was gonna try to kill him.

So he immediately dismounts and attacks me to put me out of stealth. So we're basically two stealthers starting a fight with no opener whatsoever. I put FFF on him right at the start to make sure he wouldn't get one, either. ;P

Since I have full energy, I put a few CP's on him and then Rip before shifting out, using my Stomp -> Regrowth -> Rejuv macro and shift to Bear. He uses some nasty Rogue tricks which take me down to some dangerous level of health. He was close to dying too, so I Bash'd him, hit Enrage and started Feral Rejuv. He had used a potion already so he started running away.

Feral Charged him in the rear only to get Gouged. And off running he is again, blowing Sprint. I mimic him, shift to Cat and hit Dash. Once it wears off I go to Travel to catch up and as I get close to him back to Cat to finish him off. I put another FFF to avoid him escaping me and just as I get in range I let go a Shred which crit'd him for some nasty amount.

A very satisfying victory, especially since I thought I was screwed the moment he got that first blow on me. ^_^;

I'm feral and love a good tank-job as much as topping the DPS chart, but funny enough my favorite situations are probably those times I get to surprise my party and save a wipe with some unexpected well-timed healing.

It usually happens when DPSing or off-tanking, but I had a really fun fight against Blackheart the Inciter in Shadow Labs where I was actually tanking. His "make you all fight each other" mind-control trick wipes aggro so when you come out of it you can do some quick good in caster form if necessary. Coming out of one of them I cast Barkskin+Tranquility to heal up a badly beaten party and get him back on me, and after the next one I battle-rezzed our squishy healer who'd been killed by our rather nasty rogue. Everybody was wildly enthusiastic about the win and in awe of how their furball tank had saved the day twice in one fight with some well-timed healing/rezzing.

Really, though, anytime I get to use Rebirth or Tranquility is likely to qualify as a favorite moment because they can pull some nasty situations out of the fire just as everybody's anticipating a run back from the graveyard...and of course the Tranquility animation/soundtrack is just so damn cool.

Been on 40-49 WSG recently with a guildmate and some morons. My guildie (his third alt it was) knew me generally for my Mage skills. Anyway he was a rogue and was running with the flag, all the other dudes were too stupid to root or stop his pursuers. Then, right when the warrior following him threw him down to 15% health by hitting him on hamstring I pop up out of stealth, Regrowth my mate, Reju my mate, Root the war. My guildie used the time and hid behind a rock so the War couldn't intercept him. Intercepted me instead, so we fought for a moment, I managed to kill the War (who seemed kinda distracted because he was fighting me when my friend was running home to score) and just then a piece of nice music and voila, 3-1 for the Horde.
My guildie got me promoted for that piece of action, a moment when a screwed up rogue turned into a healthy scoring one lol ;d

Pre-BC, my greatest moment was tanking the Raptor boss in ZG back in the days when even feral druids healed in raids. Being a druid tank back then was quite a traumatic experience (you were often treated about the same as a melee hunter!)
