just get anything that is 'of stamina' and whatever other gear you can get that will put you around 11k+ hp buffed. Try to keep a decent amount of spellhit (around 70ish) so that the spellsteal will not be resisted.

Spell damage/crit are fairly irrelevant - if your guild is like mine and kills Krotch last-ish, then no matter what you do you'll have plenty of threat to keep tanking him when it's his turn to go down.

Stamina through the roof if you gem it properly, combined with Int and Spirit. The best thing is that it's taught by a trainer, so any JC can make it.

Other than that, just stack stamina, Int and hit rating and you'll be fine.

I just tanked him 2 days ago for the first time myself.

Almost all of my gear is plain +stm or Eagle gear. I ended up with almost 14k hp's, and 9k mana totaly raid buffed with 82 spell hit.

While the HP's are a really important part, spell steal costing what it does, in some spaces Eagle gear may be more practical for you for the mana you need (I would say 8k min).

If you have the time, there are also some really nice pieces you can add to your set from PvP, mainly Vindicators Wrists, and Neck pieces. While it might not have the highest +stm and +int you can get, it can be hard to find random pieces off the AH. I know it took me about 3 weeks on the AH to get the pieces I fully needed, and even now keep finding slight upgrades of 2-3 stm which if it's reasonably priced I will get.
