is it worth 20 gold to switch to prot at lvl 61? my gear is in armory with signature below. anyways, i keep hearing great things about prot but im not sure. thanks in advance

I'd say yes, unless you plan on healbotting instances to 70. If not, I'd at least gear up like a warrior and go ret. Holy doesn't exactly have the DPS to grind very fast.
Your options are pretty much as follows:
Respec to ret and quest.
Respec to prot and AoE grind.
Respec to prot and tank instances til 70.
Stay holy and heal instances til 70.
Also, get a caster mace with more +spell damage on it. May also want to get some +defense if you plan on tanking.

A shockadin build is quite viable for questing, while making you a very viable person for instances. I was a shockadin build in the 60s, and had no issues with solo leveling speed or questing -- -you don't need to be ret to level by questing efficiently once you are in your 60s and have access to a lot of spelldamage and mp5 gear.

Strength is the least important of those three, as much of your damage will be holy damage as you level up more.
Stamina would be top priority, with INT second.
At your level, +spell dmg/healing and x mana per 5 seconds is also important. If you're prot spec, higher defense rating is also very important.
