Dinged 70 like a day ago, yay first one really happy. And of course my guild is heavily into raiding. So I was curios to the marks I should be looking to hit for both OT(much later) and dps as a feral druid. I know this is a really noob question to ask after freshly dinging 70 but I dont want to waste time. Also will season 1 glad gear work for dps, or will I need a ton more +to hit instead of resiliance. Thanks my fellow druids

My humble recommendation for a set of goals:

For Tanking:
- 415 Defense to get crit-proof
- 20,000 Armor
- 12,500 HP
- 28% Dodge

For DPS:
- 2300 Attack Power
- 32% Crit
- +100 Hit (still workin on this one myself...+142 is the never-miss-a-boss number")

What's great is you can hit these numbers through quest rewards, craftable items and the AH. I've exceeded them myself running only about 2/3 of the Outlands instances onces each, and without running a single heroic or setting foot in Kara, so you'll have no PROBLEM getting there in a heavy raiding guild.

"How", you might ask? A while ago Anathor posted some great recommendations for building out respectable pre-Kara tank and dps sets, with ranked options and an emphasis on attainability. I highly recommend them:

Are those Attack Power and Crit numbers in Kitty form?

Yes, most definitely. At least, I would hope so.
Getting 32% crit without Sharpened Claws and LotP in effect would be a pain. O_o

Yeah, those would be numbers I'd shoot for in bear and cat form.

Keep in mind these are just some my-two-cents recommendations I've arrived at through anecdotes and observation. I'd actually like to see some debate or validation of the numbers so I know how accurate or lame my standby recommended numbers are.

I'll tell ya in 25 levels as I gear up. :P

For the tanking requirements though, I forgot to do it in my first post so I'll do it now. Rarebeast posted a link to a great guide on Emmerald's forums.

Gives the following benchmarks:
Quote:
Tauren
Health - 13k
Armor - 24k
Dodge - 24%

NightElf
Health - 12k
Armor - 24k
Dodge - 26%

Obviously, the differences are due to the fact that Tauren have a racial +5% health and Night Elves have a racial +1% dodge and start with 10 more Agi so with equal gear that'd almost give another 1% dodge.
