I think I'm going to give in and go resto. I reallu love enhancement, but in the future there is not hope for me in heroics, the best pvp gear is hard to get as enhancement, and I always get crap like "ur still enh? go resto and be useful" So...that being said...what's your oppinions?

One more question would enhance shaman work in arena with another shaman for the two bloodlusts. I was thinking about grabbing Deep Thunder and having a constant bloodlust. Any criticizms? (yea I know I'm gonna get plenty)

Depending on the caster dps your guild has elemental might be a very viable option. As soon as I dinged 58 my guild leader told me that I should look into elemental because we havent got a solid elemental specced shaman in out guild (all went resto).

I'm sure you have considered it but seeing as how you didn't mention it I thought one, of two, things. Either:

A. You assume resto I 'the' only way to go at 70 for shamans.

-or-

B. Sitting back slinging Lightning Bolts and off-healing isn't your thing.

If A was how you felt, give elemental a shot. Its a great spec with tons of raid viability.

If B was how you felt, I'm guessing resto is in your future. Not many end game guilds would run with an Enhancement Shaman nowadays.

I hope any of the above info was useful to you. Good luck with your decision.

P.S. I have no idea about your arena issue.

Nature Swiftness

the elemental pvp built is essentially 40/21. With around 500spelldmg making your lightning bolt hurt so much when they crit (which with mastery can happen on a whim), NS+Elemental Mastery Lightning bolt that Overloads is killer. My friends have been 1 shotted by 2 shamans with that spec in 3v3s. If I were to go enhance, NS would still be on the cards for me but I get less mileage out of it compared to elemental built.

If you plan on arenas go resto or ele, 2v2,3v3,5v5 resto, or 3v3 (maybe) 5v5 with ele, for raids staying enh should be fine for the buffs. that's my opinion. ^_-

I'm 0/3/58.

I love PvP, but I also am content playing as a support class. Resto Shamans are there to drop totems (Grounding, Earthbind, etc.), run around as a "target of opportunity", and jam Chain Heal. Don't expect to go in a tear up the place, and make sure that your teammates know that too. I went through several 2v2/3v3 teams before I found people that understood that my weakness is stuns.

Once I trained a Pally to drop blessing of freedom on me when I would get ganked by a Rogue, the rest was easy. Get people who don't understand how Shammys work and PvP is a miserable ride.

Ummm. Why? Enhancement Shaman are a boatload of raid dps. Not to mention they have Unleashed Rage along with all of their totems down. Unleashed Rage + Windfury(or GoA) + Strength of Earth sounds like a whole lot of raid buffs that the melee group would otherwise miss out on. I would hardly underestimate the impact of 10% more attack power. On top of that you've got Shamanistic Rage to increase your staying power. It seems to me that that Enhancement Shaman still have a place in 99% of raid guilds.

It really just depends on your raid set-up. Enhancement Shaman are just as viable as Elemental Shaman, they just naturally fit better in melee-heavy raids the same way Elemental Shaman fit better in caster-heavy raids.

In arena PvP... not so much. Your mobility is going to get shot to pieces by probably 95% of the arena teams out there, and the other 5% are probably just terrible players. Elemental can swing DPS because they can still fire off LB's from 36 yards out, and a CL hitting a whole 2v2 or 3v3 team really hurts.

To me enhancement has always seemed like one of the worst PVP specs in the game. The lack of survivability and necessity of being in melee range (for a class with few options for closing the distance) are the big factors. It seems designed for raid/group DPS.

Elemental and Resto are both better for PVP.

What he said. If we are speaking purely about PVP, enhancement is the worst spec for shaman.

If we are talking about raiding, all three specs are completely viable, though most raids take only one elemental and one enhancement shaman per raid just because they don't stack well with 2+.
