Haste Rating Viability in PVP/PVEFollow
So I was snoopin around the AH and saw those LW Shoulders Swiftstrike Mantle (i think) and was wondering if they would be viable for either PVP or PVE? The stas are eh but if you were to get the bracers and the gloves and pants from badges of honor u would be sitting on some fast **** swings! I was thinking it could help w/ the mace/sword proc or with combat potency? Whatcha guys think?

If you can get it, do so. it's more damage. But i wouldnt ever replace a Honor piece or arena piece for haste.

Haste rating for PvE is definitely one of the things to start stacking up on once you get geared and have a nice solid hit rating because it stacks multiplicatively I think with all of the rogue's haste abilities.

Yeah for the most part thats what I figured, I just wonder why it is resiliance is so damn important in pvp it seems sometimes thats all any1 cares about. All you ever see in tells r how much some1 has or is looking for, but that is another subject!
resil is very important because it severely curbs incoming burst damage. on targets with little-or-no resilience i can crit up to 3000 damage with mortal strike on a clothy with enrage up. conversely, that same class with resilience has a much lower chance of getting crit as well as reduces a big hunk of my crit damage should they be crit.
in other words, im echoing what teddy said; dont drop a pvp or arena piece for it. altho ill add the corollary "unless you already have more than 350ish resil and 10k unbuffed hp". haste is great, but the only things ive seen with haste that work in pvp are haste trinkets (abacus of violent odds etc.) and weapons (drakefist hammer etc.), and the weapons only count if you cant get better from arena (and if you can, you should).

haste is one of those amazing things that you should get when your already sharp and shiny.

Before you start discussing if it is worth getting the shoulders, take a look at the materials. You will need 2 hearts of darkness for them. Are you able to get them? Because on my server I will be lucky if I can get them for 2000g.
