Hello all

I end up running Seal of Righteousness quite a bit since I picked up a Heart Fire Warhammer. I used to rely rather heavily upon SoC but this mace is pretty fast and SoR seems to increase my overall dps. I believe that +spell damage affects SoR damage but I am unclear about a couple of issues.

1) Can SoR crit? I think it does...but I'm not positive.
2) If SoR is able to crit, does +spell crit have any effect on it?

I apologize if this question has been asked in the past. I didn't see it in the sticky or the last few forum pages.

Thanks all

SoR cannot crit when you hit in melee. However, when it is Judged it can crit.
And yes, SpellCrit is directly tied with the rate at which the Judgement will crit.

Thanks for the fast response Selverein. That explains why I couldn't remember ever seeing a melee crit. I sure wish the answer was different...but I suppose that allowing melee SoR crits could be a little bit OP. It would make Reckoning procs downright nasty with JoC and SoR active.

Judge Seal of Crusader right at the start of the fight and you will almost double your Holy damage per swing including judging SoR.

It doesn't and would most likely be really powerful if it did. A good Pally healer may have around 20-25% SpellCrit and thanks to 2.3 a good amount of +SpellDmg with a healing set on, so that'd make some nasty damage. (For a healer, at least)

The only moment it can crit is when you judge it.
