Hi guys! My mage is 70 now, and my current goal is mainly gearing up and then doing some pvp, so here's my armory: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Silvermoon&n=Frostshiver

Everything there is correct except for the build, if it appears to be 10/0/51 to you as it does to me. My current build is 33/28 a.k.a. AP PoM Pyro, which I'm having great fun with, and my group dps is great.

Now, the things I am mainly (not only, but first off) looking to switch out would be:

The helm, thinking about the SMV questline helmet, but I'd rather have an instance helm.

The neck, going to get the SL one I think.

The trinket that's green, might Quagmirran's Eye or the one from normal Arcatraz be a good choice? If so, which?

The belt, don't know on this one.

Now I have a few ideas that I wrote down, would those be good choices or should I go for something else? Also I'm PvP-ing to get the s1 staff, 15k to go now.

Which items should I get? This'd be pre-raid and not that much of the pvp / arena stuff, prefer some instance normal/heroic stuff, maybe also questline.

If you have any ideas, please share! Looking to up my stamina, spelldamage and possibly spellhit.

If you have any other lists or somesuch of items that you prefer, then please let me know, and please don't link me to the wow-loot mage part.

Thanks in advance!

Until you get T5 gear it's hard to beat the Spellfire set that you can tailor and the Spellstrike set to complement it which you can have made if you don't get the patterns. Then get the cuffs from the BGs quatermaster and you will be mostly set.For PVP get BG gear and Arena gear if you can.

You can also get nice boots from Kara, the BG boots aren't horrible if you have to get by with them. The Prince in kara drops a great neck and weapon for casters too. Quagmirran's eye is a nice trinket and the Icon of the Silver Crescent, that you can get with Badges of Justice, goes nicely with it.

He's right about the spellfire set... that should be your first job. If you want to raid alot more then BG/arena then yes, get the spellstrike set. But if your still planning on doing lots of PvP then get the battlecast set instead of the spellstrike. The extra stam is very helpful. Other then that it's what ever you can pick up to fill in the other slots (spellfire is belt, hands, and robe and spellstrike/battlecast is pants and helm).

Here is my gear [link=http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Spinebreaker&n=Jubie[/link]

I use battlecast set, and either a crit trink, spell damage trink, or horde sig trink and shoulders from kara if i'm pvping. Then I have 2 +spell hit trinks and T4 pants and shoulders i'll use if I'm pveing so the armory may have different stuff up. I'm going for the BG boots and cuffs right now as well.

The "Unyielding" pieces will also get you some more Stamina for PvP. I've been trying to sell the Bracers on my server but they are not in high demand. Bracers of Havok would be a nice caster option with the socket if you can find someone to make them.
