lvl 70 feral gear, pvpFollow

#1 Dec 04 2007 at 4:58 AM Rating: Decent
Well, long time lurker, first time poster!

Ive a 70 Feral druid, just started pvp'ing (yes, im a quest nut). Got to 70 soloing and questing as a feral druid, and now that Im here, folks have talked me into doing the BG's. Anyhow, Ive accumulated almost 20k honor points and would like some of you folks veteran opinions on what to get as my FIRST piece of pvp reward. I made a set of heavy clefthoof for myself, so am geared with that (also, can i UNsocket gems and put diff ones in there?) I use the staff of slumber, which gives me alot of armor for tanking in bear.

Sorry about the noob post, but Im a noob!

Thankyou!

First, you cannot unsocket gems to reuse them elsewhere. You can socket different gems, but that will destroy the original gems. (Hence why socketing can get really costy)

Second, as a general rule, I'd advise not to use some "tank-ish" gear for PvP. Survivability is good, great even, but if you can't do damage or heal efficiently enough you'll be some kind of dead weight for your team, unless you stick to AV and focus on tanking the PvE bosses.

Now, as for the first reward, I'd say it depends on your current gear. If you do a lot of BG's you could probably get enough honor to buy the full Season 1 set, the Gladiator's Maul, and then the Vindicator PvP epics. Which one you get first simply depends on your gear. See what would be the biggest upgrade and go for it.

I'd suggest making a list of the total marks you'll need for everything. That way you can plan ahead of time and vary the type of BG you run to get all your marks.
