A question of techniqueFollow

There may be a post on this somewhere but I can't find it. Sorry guys.

I've been doing alot of pvp lately (trying to get the S1 armor just like everyone else) and in doing so have refined my playing style. What I'm confused is whether what I'm doing is common or not. I wouldn't even post this if the allies didn't look so confused...

Basically when facing any combat class, say warrior in this case, I do the following:

1- Send pet to attack (bestial wrath on to get some extra dps in).
2- Intimidate (they usually charge straight off so this helps make some distance).
3- Drop a frost trap.
4- Run around using the frost tap as an arena (the occasional con shot if they stray to the edges).
5- Once the trap wears off or sometimes during, run at the enemy, wingclip and keep running.
6- Turn around and continue run 'n gunning them.

And if I do get hamstringed or similar the Horde trinket works a charm.

Now what I'm curious about is why step 5 seems to confuse them. They tend to keep walking forwards, turning from side to side until they realise I'm behind them.

So... Am I fighting some very silly players or have I hit something new? Pigs have yet to evolve suitable appendages but you never know.

Wingclip/Raptor strike >run through your enemy is a fairly standard hunter pvp tactic.
So you stumbl;ed upon some pigs, not something new ;)

It's also fairly standard because it works like a charm. Gets them wing clipped (and hopefully a nice 1500 raptor strike crit) and you running away from them faster than any other way.

If you wanted to, you could save the intimidate and Bestial Wrath till they are on top of you and spamming their own slow button so that you can get away. You dont kill them as fast, but you live a lot longer. Both ways work.

Remember to make a macro for raptor strike and wing clip if you havent.
