My guild is planning our first heroic run next weekend and I'm wondering if I can get some feedback on our healer. Any tips/tweaks? Is the gear suitable?

Thanks

Talents are a little sloppy (1/7/53??) but should work--it's pretty hard to mess up a resto spec. Though I STRONGLY recommend Healing Focus. As long as he doesn't pull any agro it won't matter, but even if he has a non-elite on him it could be trouble without the talent.

He's got the right idea with gear but needs to lose the +dmg/+heal stuff and go for all-out +heal; for instance, normal Murmur's chestpiece and normal Pathaleon's pants would be great upgrades. Downgrading for cloth/leather would be okay too, but stay away from Spirit. Mana regen is also pretty low... that's not as much of a factor in heroics, but could become a problem if he doesn't manage mana well (i.e., LHW spam).

Overall, I'd say he's on the cusp of being ready; could still use some gear but he might be able to work around it. It'll probably come down to awareness/skill/tank's gear. Best of luck to you.

I'd recommend the 0/5/56 build. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hZxZEcxtAestcd

Or mine, you can check my armory in the sig, I only PvP though, so I don't have threat reduction. Allocate your points where you need em.

If he's a shaman healer (the armory isn't coming back for me) he's probably going to want about 100 mp/5 and 1k healing if not more, and you really have to pay attention and rank heals appropriately.
