Mainly cuase in groups they know you are there to heal thier ****** but PvP they are fighting some allies, and all of a sudden when they think they are dead. *BAM* shielded, and a GHeal is thrown on them and they end up turning around to see me just standing there tossing some mindflays so thier target cant run away.

I just started 2 days ago over the weekend with some WSG. i pulled in like 1.3k honor after a few fights in there. I picked up the cloth wrist that was a BIG upgrade from the lvl 38 ones I had. next ill jsut save up more for the trinket and decide if i wanto to move on and level or just keep picking up this honor.

I have also been on the top 4 dmg dealing and either 1 or 2 in heals. I dont think its that bad becuase most the time im running with the flag holder and just being thier gaurdian.

Also a quick question...

is lvl 49 a good stage to stay for a while for Shadow priest or lvl up 10 more levels and go into the 50-59 bracket?

If you really enjoy pure pvp that bracket is probably the best. Once you get into the 50-59 bracket you'll run into people who twink themselves with outland quest gear at 58-59 and then never ding 60+ so they can retain their edge.

Level up to 59, getting "of the Sorceror" gear from the AH and Outlands quest gear along the way, and have fun in WSG, AB and AV. 59-60 is the pinnacle of Shadowpriest PVP in the game, a sweet spot where your damage mitigation and DPS are unrivaled. Enjoy it a good long time.

I would say stay 49. The biggest problem I have ever had in BGs was with a twinked 49 shadow priest. Cant remember the name but it was a Dwarf. I'm not saying twink but I know from being on the end of a Mind Flay stream that you guys can be very powerful at the Bracket.

49 is indeed the best bracket for a shadowpriest. 15% less dmg cause of shadowform, silence, instant fear, the list goes on.

Also if you like to heal sometimes, make sure to get healing focus. something like this would be what i'd go for:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?5000020000000000000000200000000000000000000050232210231123031000

Shadow Weaving were kinda fillers, just like imp. mindblast. a shadow weaving proc means that dispellers will have to dispell an additional thing if you are fighting one ;) pretty annoying stuff

Either way, enjoy your time on 49, I know I did.

I relly am liking the build i have right now, its really just what i use in PvE. and i use to think that I didnt have enough points in blackout... but DAMN! only 6% is a lot! it has saved me numberous times vs those NE Hunters and rogues trying to get behind me all the time and mind flay procs blackout... the only class I have a problem with is shaman cuase they earth shock me and if i dont get a shield up intime they will WF me into next week. but distance is my friend and been happy with the choices I have picked with talents and gear so far... it sucks i want to go to mara and get the head piece from the princess but with only 3 bars left in lvl 49 its a catch 22
