Drain-Tanking ProblemFollow

I'm currently leveling my second affliction warlock (switched sides from human to blood elf). I fell into drain-hunting with my human, but I noticed how well drain-tanking worked when my VW lost aggro, so I thought I'd try switching play styles once my elf leveled high enough. She is now 28 with 5/5 fel concentraion.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to avoid having my channeling constantly interupted during Drain Life. I can get a whole Drain Soul off, no problems, but Drain Life is almost useless. I keep finishing a fight with 40% health and mana (even against mobs slightly lower than me) My thoughts are:

1) Is 28 to low to effectively Drain-Tank?
2a) Do I just happen to be fighting mobs with faster speeds that have more chances to interupt? (though I think that would also effect Drain Soul)
2b) Am I fighting mobs that are too high for me that have a greater chance of interupting despite Fel Concentration?
3) Am I just incredibly unlucky?
4) Is there a related bug I haven't heard about yet?
5) Am I doing something else wrong?

Just thought I'd see if anyone else as any insight.

How long have you been trying?

I remember after one patch one time I SWORE Fel Concentration was broke. For 2 straight nights I couldnt get more than a second or 2 of Drain Life without it being completely interupted. I moved around, tried different mobs, and then even proceeded to write a ticket to see if something was wrong with either my character or the talent after the patch.

Put my Lock up for a bit to play my hunter and came back a few days later or whatever and it was back to normal.

Probobly just a really really long string of bad luck, lol.

Fel Concentration is still only 70% cast-through, and it is really frusterating when it gets interupted because it is lost Mana and efficiency - but it will get interupted even with great a great Lock.

Try either moving to a different spot or picking up new monsters to fight, or playing a different character for a bit.

I think a lot of us have been in your shoes at one point or another.

You can effectively drain tank at level 28.

Faster attack speeds does influence drain-life: more attacks during the duration of your drain-life means more chances for it to break early. It affects drain-soul as well.

Higher level mobs will be more likely to do damage (their offensive skill level vs. your defensive skill level), and might do more damage than your drain-life takes in (relatively speaking). Drain-life is a "give and take" - you have to decide if drain-tanking is viable depending on the mob, based on how much life you get back, how much damage you do, how much damage they do, and how long the fight will last.

Yes, you are unlucky.

No bugs, to my knowledge.

Maybe.

It gets strong at 30. The strength almost doubles so you should do better then, much better.

Maybe your problem is that the mobs you are fighting are probably the cats from 1K Needles, and they attack fast.

Fast attack speed = Better chance of Drain life being broken.
