destro sucks really hard for leveling! Do NOT level as destro. Even in PvP affliction is the better choice.

Go for affliction.
I leveled as destro (upon the advice of a friend that said it was the best)
and I respecced to demon around mid 60's, and then affliction after I hit 70.

I LOVE destro and I'll use any excuse to respec back to destro. I don't really know if it was hard leveling like everyone said, compared to affliction, since I only leveled with destro and a tiny bit of pure demon, but I like affliction now, its good in pvp and from the little farming I've done, pve.

It's so much easier to run around and not have to sit and wait for casts if you're afflic, and if you're used to backlash (not sure if you have it yet), nightfall is pretty much the same. Instant shadowbolt ftw =]
save destro for later.

Well I did leave out that I have about +100 spelldmg..

In pvp I just cast sbolt and follow with sburn and when they see me I seduce, sbolt, fear, sbolt, sburn dead (occasionally I just have to cast 2 sbolts and they're dead 0.o)

I'm twink and tankin PURELY pvp

Maybe its because I really dislike people (brats?) that use non-words like "pwnt" but I would appreciate if you stop writing nonsense like quoted above.
It hurts my eyes.
It hurts my pride of being able to write proper English although not being English native.
It hurts my hope in better humanity that *might* be established some day by our children when I see entire attitude of your posts.

When you said Affliction lacked the numbers you wanted, are you talking about the damage you see coming off of the bad guy on the screen as your DoTs tick or at the end of the game when "total damage" comes up?

I have a semi twink mage that works well with the first type of numbers, but as affliction (non-twinked), I would go into a BG and toss up 2-3 DoTs, tab to next target, spread more love around then pick a target to fear/shadowbolt. End of the game is where the big numbers come up.

If you can get the drop, attack from concealment (from behind building, hill, etc)and use a longer casting DoT like Immolate, then instant cast DoTs and immediately get out of their Line of Sight.
