This may have been covered before, but I want direct feedback in my situation. So since I picked up dual wield at lvl 20 I've always carried 2 swords when I wasn't tanking. At this point I've got 2 great swords (enchanted 4+ damage) with quick attack speed. I ran an instance with a group and one guy was treating me like an idiot for dual wielding instead of carrying a 2 hander. I've gotten my critical strike percentage up and it seems like every other hit I get a crit from at least one of the swords.
I have thrash blade in my main hand and vanquishers sword in other hand. A normal attack with main is about 140 damage and I've seen crits average around 330. My second hand weapon does about 70 damage and I've seen critical go as high 220. I haven't found a decent 2 hander in the auction house to test out one. So which would deal out more damage? I'm spec'd for balance by the way.

Posted: Dec 03 2007 at 2:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well, DW spec requires some +hit, and attack power gear to match a 2h arms spec with a good weapon. this is due to 2h damage is way more dependent on just the weapon, where DW has more use of other bonuses since they more often miss, and their instant attack is based on attackpower.
