for pvp, yep. though you may want to take 2 from emberstorm or searing pain to put into demonic aegis 3/3. for pve, well it could work, but it won't be very good.

Isn't Searing pain one of the key sources of destro dps?

and it doesn't make sense to take points of emberstorm to demonic aegis...it would only add 20 spell dmg, with coefficients that would be around +17 dmg per sb, and only adds an additional 8 dmg per searing pain...

question... does emberstorm affect your TOTAL dmg? or is it base dmg? emberstorm would add 12 dmg to searing pain(base) and 24 dmg to SB(base).

wouldn't emberstorm be better?

also... during pvp, does a warlock use fel armor or demon armor?

searing pain is 99% of the time NEVER used in pve. it's crap dps and it's got a 200% threat multiplier. SHADOWBOLT (or incinerate if you're stupid enough to go fire destruction) is the main source of dps for a destruction warlock. it's also the main source of dps for every other spec of warlock known to warlock kind.

and why take points from emberstorm for demonic aegis? because as i've said. shadow dest is the best dest spec, so the slight increase in your fire dps is not worth the loss in your shadow dps. at best as shadow destruction warlock, your fire spells will make up for 10% of your total damage. loosing 4% from 10% of your damage isn't much and is worth the increase in healing you recieve (so increasing your survivability) and the increase in raw + damage.

i'm in one of those odd moods right now, so gotta add this.

don't question what I say unless you have hard fact evidence behind it, otherwise i'll crush what you say and spoon feed you my knowledge of the warlock class until you're ready to burst

(i blame having watched all 4 die hards in the past 24 hours... seeing an arrogant ******* carrying on and on is like crack to me... lol)
