hi everybody.im a level 30 enhancement shaman on a pve server.i absolutely love this class.i just got windfury and was wondering if i should start using it now or wait for a few levels[have been using mainly flametongue on a 2h mace]i just got vicious hammer.since im a solo player i was curious about the steady damage from ft or the proc from wf.any help greatly appreciated.

For starters, using Rockbiter is going to give you far more steady DPS than Flametongue. If you've been using Flametongue the entire time I feel kind of sorry for you.
"Steady" is not a word that applies to WF, not until you're in your mid-40's with Dual-Wield and Stormstrike. When soloing you'll probably only get one proc per fight with a 2H, two if you're lucky and three if you're insanely lucky. Still, it's better to go ahead and use WF. It can be frustrating to wait on it, but that one proc is enough to be worth it.
definetely use windfury.
As enhancement everything is pretty much obsolete in PvE after you get windfury. Your dps will skyrocket and you can finally take things out in 2 hits. Trust me no matter what weapon you are using windfury is the way to go.

So after reading this, I tried out this Windfury. And boy did I hate it. Went through Mara and not once did it work. I'm an Enhancement Shaman and duel-wielding. And not once did this Windfury work. Maybe this Windfury don't like me. This is my experience with it.
That's too bad that WF didn't work for you. There's no better feeling than when your storm strike gets a windfury crit on a clothy...I love one-shotting even level mobs.
edit: My windfury hits about three times per fight. (Dual-Wield 2.7 maces)

Uh... did you even have WF turned on? Calling it unreliable is one thing, saying you went all the way through Mara without a single proc is asinine.

Besides that, he's level 40+ with dw and has never even tried windfury. I'll just assume he is being sarcastic.
I love Windfury. When my Troll Shaman was around 40 and killing the green whelps in Swamp of Sorrows for the quest, the mobs were green to him and he pulled one with a Lightning Bolt and his first hit (two-hander) turned into a triple-crit Windfury that killed the mob. Yes, it's not steady predictable damage but when things go just right it's absolutely amazing. Now that he uses Stormstrike, killing things is just so easy.
