Thoughts on the Hemo nerf...Follow

#77 Dec 13 2007 at 10:27 PM Rating: Excellent
Well, let's be straightforward here.

In the current patch, 1x/4x is still better then Shadowstep for Arena play.

You get a lot more damage, you get Adrenaline Rush, you get SA, which quite frankly I've been missing a lot with all those rogues running around now. And you get weapon spec, possibly the corner stone of our pvp ability.

Both Specs are worse then HARP, but HARP is dead with this new patch.

Now, the new Shadowstep will STILL do less damage then 1X/4X because the Sinister Calling buff doesn't make up for the Hemo debuff (It's still getting an overall 5% debuff).

So... will that 70% in speed increase after SS make up for it?

I honestly don't think it will.

If you've got a Curse of Exhaustion on you, you'll only be walking at 85%...

ehhh i dont know, the speed debuff will be useful as a 3 second extra sprint, among other things... big tricks on warr/pal for example, you step to healer, kick, and mini sprint back to continue dps on war

or whatever, it allows even trickery... good for arena? maybe?

good for 1v1? **** yes :) and thats all i need to hear, more buffs right over here ^_^

frost mage/me (step)

we cc the paladin, burst down the warrior, paladin bubbles out of cc to heal, then we swap and cc warrior instead

im sure at some point it stops working, but its 6-0 last 6 times since we thought of that strat

It stops working when the paladin is smart enough to use blessing of sacrifice on the warrior.

The Mage could be spellstealing the BoSac I suppose.

havent seen bosac yet, but sounds so sketchy

so i hit the warrior with white (slice n dice up) often, mage switches to paladin, and im doing a free weak blade flurry?

then swap to paladin full time when he bubbles?

i mean i can stall the warrior for a lil while, step-kick and cs can keep paladin silenced a lil, maybe even burn vanish for garrote

im prob missing something though, just sounds like if they bosac, we just split dps and forces a paladin bubble either way (plus i get to save my blind for the warrior)

or how does that plan epic fail? id like to know for when it happens :) thanks in advance

It breaks the CC every time you hit the Warrior. And it's not really a Blade Flurry, it's just splitting a portion of the damage done to the Warrior to the Paladin; you aren't doing any more, it's just split between two targets (like if Blade Flurry made each hit to the two people do half damage).

yeah, have your mage spell steal BoSac and BoF (and BoP if it ever comes out, thats free dps from him that no one can stop on a war/pally team).

the best way to think of BoSac is like warlock soul link. a set number of damage done to the warrior is instead done to the paladin, and its reflected as such in the combat log (i.e. Paladin suffers 55 damage from Warriors Blessing of Sacrifice).
