i'm switching to combat swords (may play with hemo later) after using daggers from 1 to 70 and for a bunch of raiding. not sure what to do about openers. when you have a bleed immune mob such that garrote is ineffective...what to use? my standard choice is out since no dagger. i guess i could use a wep switching macro but that seems clumsy.

do i not bother starting from stealth and just go into the ss rotation?

as always any advice is appreciated.

Surely Cheap Shot is the way to go?

If you can't be bothered just open with your normal attack. So either right clcik to start white hits or SS the mob.

That is what I was doing last night in kara...

Make a macro for equipping a dagger and doing an ambush.

When you want to open with CS, wait a few seconds so the MT has enough aggro. Better talk to the MT before the raid starts, because he can get pretty pissed of.

Either Garrote or CS depending. You really can just walk up and hit the thing too if you want, combat DPS doesn't really come from the opener.

My guild did its first Kara run last night, and it seems almost all the trash in there is immune to Garrote. Since I'm Combat Swords, and don't want to use CS because I'll deprive the tanks of rage, am I right in thinking that I just should just give up on an opener and start off with SS?

ya we're pretty much there to look at whatever the tank is attacking and tear it apart no matter whats going on around us.

though there are exceptions.
