I picked up a couple of Dreadmist items lastnight. They look nice, especially the mask. I read however on an old Thotbot post that the mask and robe are from a Lock only quest. Is this still the case? If so I'm assuming they're BOP?

Edited to make sense

Whoever wrote that deserves a slap. Dreadmist is the set that comes entirely from drops (Dungeon Set 1). Warlocks can upgrade it to Dungeon Set 2 (Deathmist) through a series of Warlock-only quests, but Dungeon Set 1 is for anybody.

Note that any Warlocks in your group may be a bit annoyed if you roll on it!

Indeed. Dreadmist is a cool set. I'm thinking of farming it for next halloween for my mage. Smiley: grin

Don't get Dreadmist confused with Deathmist. Deathmist is the upgraded version of Dreadmist, which is obtained through quests and available only to warlocks. Mages have a similar quest to upgrade their set (the name escapes me now) to Sorcerer's.

To help Isfreak out here on the name he has forgotten (from long long ago when all mages were farming these sets), the base set to upgrade from to sorcerer's was the magister set I think.

So Magister's is an upgrade for Mages with Dreadmist?

Dreadmist is technically for Warlocks, not mages. Magister's is the same type (Tier0) which can be upgraded to Tier.5 (Sorcerer's)

Warlock gear:

Dreadmist -> Deathmist

Mage Gear:

Magisters -> Sorcerers

Any class can wear the first set (e.g. a mage in magisters, a warlock in magisters, heck... a warrior in magisters), but only that class (mage for magisters) can do the quest that turns magisters into sorcerers.
