Dagger lvling build.Follow

Another day, another Alt. For you another boring rate my build.

after reading alot of the FAQs and playing up to a meager lvl 15. ive decided that i rather enjoy gouge>backstab to the spam SS>eviscerate.

i know Daggers are not the most efficient way to solo or lvl(or so ive read). but i like the dagger consept, plus i like to make my combat as complicated as possible, then make it look good doing it. (a result of too many fighting games or combo games like Devil May Cry and the like)

at this low lvl every strat will work out the same as HP lvls are just not high enough for good evaluations.

But Sap>Amb>gouge>backstab>whatever SS or Evisc, seems like a lot of damage, and enough to finish off mobs solo without alot of trouble. with remorseless, it seems even more so.

so i have some build progressions. let me know if im just off my rocker, or if this can work to some degree of success.

i lvl with Quests mostly. maybe some Instances here and there. once i hit 70 i want to go full Subtlety.

Remorseless Strikes is trash. There are many better places to put those two points.

IMO, your level 68 build would be better off as a mutilate build when you reach 55. Respec 41/0/5 at 55 with the 5 points in oppurtunity. This will yeild you better results than a combat dagger build.

Personally I leveled my Rogue as a combat swords rogue, so I won't say I have alot of expertise on dagger builds. However I did for awhile do a Combat Dagger/Backstab build that worked ok for a while. It had a rather large problem with CP generation because the main maneuver was 60 energy. I barely had time to get 5 Cp to keep SnD up.

Your biggest problem that alot of the other builds will not have is that your damage is highly situational. If you are not behind the target then you will not be outputting the maximum possible damage. Early on between the levels of 1-30ish the daggers will do well enough. Try leveling up as a straight combat build to start. Splitting the points between Combat and subtlety early on will cut down on efficiency. At level 30 the build would look about like this 0/21/0, it is your base combat build for starters. Some tweaking is optional depending on play style.

With the build above you will be free to choose whatever weapon works best at the time for overall damage. If you want to start with an ambush or backstab, I am sure there is a macro for doing a quick weapon switch so you start with a dagger in the main hand and swap to a more suitable weapon for using SS while soloing.
