Cast:Levitate......so why do I sink???Follow

Has anyone else noticed that if you jump off of a ledge and cast levitate, you will float down all nice. but if you land in water you will have to start to swim. Why is that? shouldnt I be able to just land on the water and do some jesus walking?

We are able to do that from running land-> water, but not jump off of something and float down to walk on water?

This is really annoying, It wouldnt be as annoying if we did go into the water and able to jump out of it. But nope, thats not possible either. once in the water we are stuck ther until we take levitate off and get some sweet timing skilles going on. jump out of water, cast levitate before we get too low to the water surface.

Sometimes you land and float on the surface and sometimes you sink. I've noticed that if you're in a casting animation when you approach the water, you're much more likely to sink. Try not casting any instant spells right before you hit and you should be waterwalking more often.

Any time I've ever cast levitate in the water it always tosses me up over the water and I start floated over it. I've never had levitate on and started sinking in water, even when casting PW:S or another spell before landing.

You can't jump at all with Levitate on, in the water or out.

Try swimming straight up to get back into your waterwalking position.

To clarify for other posters who seem confused: the OP is talking about a glitch where after jumping down from a higher spot to a watery surface with Levitate on, a priest sinks rather than landing on the surface of the water. It happens to me most often in AB when I rez at the BS and cast Levitate to get down to the mine super fast. If I am buffing myself with Inner Fire, etc. while jumping down from the BS graveyard, I often sink into the water there. If I wait until I'm over the water to buff, I'm fine.
