Until it's determined exactly how much they're increasing the damage debuff, there's really no way to tell in general, but this is definately a nerf for soloing, 5-mans, and possibly the 10-man raids.

What's baffling as hell is that they seem to be encouraging more people to go 41 into Subtlety with the ShS change, but they just nerfed the main CP generator of that exact build. It's seems rather... inconsistent.

One of the ej posters brought up a good point. The changes to hemo devalued ghostly strike. This could be an attempt to balance that.

I'm still confused. They're trying to align the trees to scale better with the better gear. They nerf the useful talent that scales with damage (it's a % buff) and then buff the one that doesn't scale (the fixed damage amount). Which means that as gear improves, hemo gets crappier. Reminds me of Eviscerate.

The EU site mentions that nerfing, but the main worldofwarcraft.com 2.3.2 PTR patch notes mentions nothing of the sort.

Linky.

All it mentions in regards to Hemo is:

Hemorrhage: Rank 4 of this ability no longer has its charges consumed by non-physical attacks and spells.

There is no mention of that drop from 125% to 110%.

Let's wait to see just what exactly they plan to do with the hemo debuff.

According to the forums, the debuff went from 36 damage per hit...

...to 37 damage per hit.

No, just people logging onto the PTR to check the new ability.

AR/Prep will probably still be better: two AR's two sprints two vanishes.

And at least if it isn't, the two specs use similar weapons so you don't have to go through the weapon switching pain.

What pisses me off is every mage gets ice block now. Good bye fire mage's only weakness.

It was kinda needed.

I really like AR/Prep with Hemo. Maybe I'm dumb though.

Not entirely. fire mages main weakness is resilience. Frost mage+water elemental and and all the snares that come with it will still be pretty important imo. You are right though, that is a HUUUUUGE buff for fire mages.

It is baffling. And until they change ShS so that it actually lets you hit the person you port to if they are moving, its a total gimmick. Be it a momentary snare or stun. Hell i would be happy if ShS applied your OH poison to your target, or did a 1 sec immobilize like a boars charge.

I dont even know where this came from. has there been a lot of QQing about hemo? ive read some QQ about ar+prep, but not so much hemo. /boggle. Time will tell if this actually does go through, but seriously... it would be nice if we had one good spec outside of 41 combat.

it prolongs the innevitable. Nothing really more. They honestly needed this to even have a dim shot at offspecs in arena.

The PVE buff is such a huge thing as well. Mages have needed this, and what Blizz was thinking with Invisibility I have no clue.
