Quick question bout professions.Follow

Let me ask you guys this as i'm new to shammies. For a profession, should I go skinning leather working and take the elemental tree later for mail armor or should I go blacksmithing. Which offers better armor for elemental build or Enhancement build?

Ultimately LW (dragonscale) provides better mail related armor for elem or enh.

Granted while Blacksmithing does provide some mail armors, the real gem you get from Blacksmithing is the weapons, which obviously Enh's spec's can use to a tee.

I went the skinning/LW route myself, which I was very pleased with. I don't like blacksmithing personally, as mining to me was a pain in the ***** as well as skilling up smithing seemed rather costly compared to LW.

I've decided to go alchemy primarily because my friends have the other trade skills covered. Is alchemy a good choice for shamans in the long run? Or (as an enh shaman)would going smithing or some other trade be more beneficial for bop items?

thx for any replies

IMO herb and alchy is always a good choice. You can't really go wrong with it. As for smithing, is there any good axes that you can make? I need a good website that shows all the items.
