Not sure if that's a word or not, but whatever...
I've been a Shadow Priest and now I want to change to a Holy Priest. I went to the trainer to unlearn my talents and I started fresh and used all my talent points in the holy and disc trees. The problem is that all the stuff that I trained for in the past is still there. I thought that would get wiped out but it didn't. I want to re-train in the holy areas but I still have my shadow abilities that I really don't want. Did I ***** up somewhere??

The only spells you lose are ones that you had to spend talents in a specific tree for(mind flay, inner focus,etc.). The rest all priests get regardless of talent tree. IE, shadow word: death is a shadow spell, but every priest has it even holy ones. Just like renew is a holy spell that your shadow priest had.

Only the talents are reset, your spells are not cleared out if they are available for all priests. There are a few spells that you can only train in if you have a talent point in it (usually the final tier talents like circle of healing). Those would have to be learned/trained by purchasing them from the trainer. If you switch back and forth and respec, sometimes you have to relearn/retrain for spells you already trained for but wiped out with the talent reset. For instance, if you had the spirit buff talent in the discipline tree and then cleared your talents and went shadow for awhile, then came back to holy/disc you would take that spirit talent again and have to repurchase the spell from the trainer.

Hope that made sense.
