How much + defense?Follow

I need to do some maths :)

I've specced a bit back and forth, and I'm currently a lvl 70 fury warrior, gearing up for tanking heroics and such.

I think I have pretty decent gear now, I haven't enchanted any of my tank items (bar the shield) and I have a lot of gem spots left. This should enable me to make some priorities for the rest of my gear.

My question is: With 5/5 Anticipation, how much more +defense do I need? I know that I'll need to get up to 490 defense rating, but I don't know how much extra defense skill I need.

That would be useful to know before I go out and buy gems and get even better gear (with more or less defense).

I thought 495 is uncritable. I'd at least get that. I'm at like 506, 16.5 dodge, 16.3 parry?, I'm done focusing on +def, and trying for straight +dodge and +parry, as well as +stam (since I'm at 12,108HP unbuffed).

Get Revered with CoT and get the Head enchant for +dodge and +def. See what your base armor gives you (before socketing anything), then figure out what you need to work on. Should have 495 (which calculates weird... not basic additon and subtraction lol), that 30% evasion (parry + dodge) and 12k hp min. stats for really giving Heroics a go.

What are your parry, dodge, hp, block, defense, and armor rating now? You may need to go thru some non-heroics to get the gear so you can be a help instead of a burden in a Heroic. I know I keep trying for the Mech 2nd boss plate chest... the stamina on that is just soooo nice, greedy B-word is not dropping it tho.

To become uncrittable, you'll need 490 Defense skill.

With 5/5 Anticipation, you'll need 288 defense rating to reach that.
