Gems for HunterFollow

That's in the FAQ. Bring up that thread and search for 'gem'.

Depends on build. SV is all Agility or a combo gem for a meta gem requirement.

BM and MM normally stack AP/ Crit gems until they get to the desired AP/crit rating they are looking for. Aethiens Pre-Raid gear list is great, make it your bible until you have all the gear/ gems or have achieved the stat ratings listed.

SAD THING IS THE FAQ IS HORRIBLY WRONG.
AGI GEMS>AP GEMS FOR ALL SPECS

red - 8agi
blue - 8ap 2mp5
yellow - 8 crit rating

And only the blue and yellow if you want the Socket bonus or need them to activate a meta gem.

Actually this has been discussed many many times over.

The most recent conversation started in Top Hunters in WoW

Which sparked the discussion of gems, that led to the start of this thread

In that thread it was proven that Agi gems are better then AP gems, at a certain point. For some specs(most notably BM), before you reach that certain point, AP>Agi.

I won't go into detail of which gems should go where, but it is all covered in Aethians Pre Raid Gear, tips and tricks.. It lets you know which gems you should look for in your pre-raid gear build, and at what point you should switch to other gems.

Edit: Didn't check out the Every Question Answered Here sticky to see what they have to say about gems though, so I will go read that.
