I know that Nooblestick goes to the Blasted Lands to test DPS, but I've no idea which enemies he uses, or where they are located. Can anybody fill me in on the secret?

I use servant of grol at roughly 41,11 in blasted lands. Hes with the ogres, but is a horde character of some sort. Not sure if he is horde friendly or not though tbh.

And he doesnt die and hits like a girl.

Both Horde and Alliance can use them.

There's a quest in the area to beat them to 0% then either click on an item in the area or use it in your inventory to actually kill them. If you choose not to do that you can just beat on them forever if you can get any bit of healing.

Basically run to the Dark Portal. They are on the outskirts of that little crater.

I use the servants of alli'starj or something like that. About a 15 second run north of the dark portal. Kill a couple mobs around him, then pull him off to the side so you don't get aggro. For testing procs, I blind and bandage every few minutes. For DPS, I just beat on him until I'm at 500 health (they can crit up to 300 or so if they're lucky), which is about 6 minutes in my gear.

In case any of you were interested:

Double instant poison, no buffs. For the sake of consistency, BF and AR were not used.

11/23/27: 939.5 DPS using 1s/5r cycles.

19/42/0: 893.7 DPS using 2s/5r cycles.
924.5 DPS using 1s/5r cycles.

15 DPS isn't a very big gap. To be honest, I was expecting to see more DPS from the Hemo build. Of course, with AR factored in, the Combat build will pull even closer, so I guess I'm still not completely sold on Hemo.

Hemos +360 is huge though and you dont use all that when solo testing. Then again, if you have dirty deeds and the mob was at 0% the whole fight your DPS will also be quite a bit higher than on a normal mob.

Were you raid buffed?

Don't forget Hemo scales better w/ AP. I've noticed damage wasn't as high in 5mans as it is in Gruuls(duh).

I attributed an extra 54k damage w/ the hemo debuff on Gruul yesterday. That's pretty nice, as well as being 3rd in damage.

And changing gear and gems is a *****...especially now, since the dbag JC's on my server starting jacking prices up(100g on Bright Living Rubies, WTF?) on all the gems. Guild JC's ftw.

Edit: I R GUD AT TEH MATH

Just looking at it, Hemo would be worse than deep combat. If you used AR, you would be at least tied on Hemo.

Then add to that you were triggering DD the entire time, it skews Hemo's dps quite a bit.

I'm testing a similar 11/28/22 build on Aran tonight, and I'll be sure to test deep combat on him next week. I'm really curious how raid buffs will change the results.

for a true test you would be better off just not speccing 2 in dirty deeds for your hemo test.

But the big thing with hemo is its scalability with AP and better weapons. And you can get some pretty sick AP buffs in a raid setting.

Hemo is a relatively small portion of your DPS, so it doesn't skew it all that much. It will be a 3-4% DPS increase where there shouldn't be.

No I meant the build. He was receiving 20% more damage the entire fight as DD should of been on if he is beating on the unkillable mobs, no?

It only applies to special attacks, so it's a fairly small DPS boost.
