quite obvious that as a rogue I <3 having Curse of Recklessness on bosses, it's very decent dps increase. just wanted to ask can AP bonus of the curse be dangerous? and wich bosses safe/not safe for this curse?
Ofc I mean t5 and higher raids

yes it can be very dangerous, especially on heavy hitters like gruul magtheridon. i believe tidewalker and lurker as well...wouldn´t advise it on voidreaver as well...do not apply it on the shaman-add from karathress nor on karathress herself in the end.

wow! i am impressed! i will make sure next time it´s void that CoR is up!
What astonished me was that your warrior is so high in the dmg output and your locks are so low...even the shadowpriest being in top 3. very interesting.
and why are your hunters so low`?

hard hitters like gruul, high king, netherspite etc... (basically any boss that uses MS, bloodthirst, enrage type abilites are dangerous to use CoRec on due to those abilities being highly affected by AP. otherwise though, it's a very good dps increase for melee classes and tps for tanks :)

CoR absolutely rapes Leotheras/Hydross/Alar. They've got low armor, not much AP, no AP effected abilities, and they pretty much exist to eat WTFPWN DPS. I put it on Gruul early on, I switch off if the fight goes to grow 12+, HKM gets it, Mags gets it. You would be amazed the kinds of hits druid tanks can soak with that massive HP pool and the fact that yellow hits can't crush.

Also keep in mind that if your tank is a warrior and he has 5/5 improved demo shout, then with his demo shout and CoR the boss will have 0 AP. ;)

CoRec increases AP, it decreases armour. demo shout doesn't decrease armour, only AP. 3/3 demo is 420 ap reduction. CoRec is a 135 AP increase and generally isn't an issue with bosses.

post edit

if what you meant was a warriors sunder armour (which talented only decreases rage cost, not increase armour reduction) the boss still won't be at 0 armour as most bosses have 8-10k armour which is why armour penetration is becoming "the go to" stat for melee classes to increase dps.

Most bosses have either 6600 or 7700 base armor, from Kara through Illidan. Void Reaver is the exception; he's close to 10,000 before debuffs. However, even with 5/5 Sunder, Faerie Fire and CoReck there's still ~2500 armor on the boss... which means it's very nearly impossible to cap out your Armor Penetration. Moreover, the lower the armor value gets the better Armor Penetration is.

Well, it's 5/5 Demo Shout, not 3/3. Bosses start with 350 AP, a Warrior with 5/5 Imp. Demo (and it doesn't have to be a tank - DPS Warriors can _very easily_ pick up this talent) thus has 70 AP reduction that is normally 'wasted'... except when CoReck is present. If CoReck and 5/5 Imp. Demo are up the boss only gets 65 AP, which does give them a bit of a damage boost but is quite manageable.

I wouldn't throw it on a target like the Karathress Shaman early on, but once the entire group is there it's a reasonable proposition (or, alternatively, downrank CoReck a bit - R4 has almost no spillover, but it's worth going to R5 on most bosses).

Seriously - it's a huge damage increase, and it's only really dangerous on a small subset of bosses... and even then it's worth using, because it's a ~7% DPS increase to all melee across the board.

I'd assume they don't have melee move and bad luck on orbs for certain casters. It's the strategy we use; ranged DPS tends to vary wildly depending upon how much of a **** VR is feeling like on that particular day.

i meant 5/5, don't know why i put 3/3 :P 5 stacks of sunder armour is about 2600 armour reduction. with CoRec and faeri fire that goes to about 4200-4300 reduction. still got loads of room for armor penetration to be added to more gear :)

hes saying that if you have a warrior with imp demo shout, you can negate the ap bonus bosses get from CoR. jesus fking christ

well even without it improved you still negate it

+135 ap from CoRec - 350 from demoshout (or whatever the base is) = a minus number. so regardless the boss does less damage than without either on him and tbh, there's no boss which 'requires' a full demo shout on it to make sure it doesn't 1shot a tank (if your tank can be 1 shotted, then get yourself a better tank) so tbh, who cares about the ap difference generally?
