Edit: Zarakh looks like a Ridge Spine exept all black and blood red . .

Only problem is he shrinks SO much, and the aweful screaming made me release him after a few hours with him.

We were talking about this in guild the other night. We decided a stackable attack speed debuff would be sexy for spiders. Something like 1%/stack up to 5 times, or make the percent scale with AP. >:D

the spider i bloodmyst. looks so good but becomes so small.

If you want icky try those spindly legged spiders. Those freak people out.

Iam happy with my blue barrens scorpid and red lynx.

But ill be lying if i siad i wasnt thinking about the same thing. [exclusive pet family abilities/ more ability varieties for non boar/cat/].

BLizz will eventually work on them. But this is blizz. We all know what "eventually" means.

and ya that spider sound "SPPPPPSHHHHHH QRSH SPSH QRHS WARRSHGHH! SPPSHH"

creey **** going on and on.

Spiders can get like web traps [to place on the ground]. Something webrelated atleast. A offensive poison attack [chance on hit rather than use].

Theres lots of fun to be had in working on the pets. Without making them too overpowered. But blizz has enough worries with balancing the classes. Let along pet familes :\

I once saw a spider on the wall about two feet from me and threw the cat on my lap at it. I don't like spiders, so no spider pet for me. (Elmo, my cat, is okay. He doesn't sit on my lap much though.)

Actually, that aweful screaming is one of the reasons i like it so much. when im bored i spam pet attack and pet follow so that it keeps playing that sound effect.

i usually do that while im standing on my roomates Toons so he can hear it too. ^^

I was getting tired of it blocking my vision in confined spaces and lots of complaints from people when running instances about it blocking their vision as well.
Yeah, tell the idiots that complain that the game has some excellent tools to help them overcome their inadequacy. It's called F2 -> f (If needed, replace F2 with the position of the tank in the group) Seriously, any group which can't handle your Pet being in the way of their vision isn't ready for serious grouping with serious players. They need some remedial training... :-D

I got a scorpid recently and i found they have a creepy thing about them too.

when they walk they "skitter"

like a tiny ktktktktktktktkttktk sound as they follow you. Continuous and very creepy. i love it.

And while they dont scream like spiders do they screech-talk sharply

There are several pet families I have no interest in, simply because of their looks. But I actually do like some of the spiders. I have a female NE hunter that is mainly a bank alt, but I do take her out and level her a bit from time to time. She is made with the Adams Family in mind. She has dark hair and light skin. She has a red snake as her main non-combat pet. And she has two spiders as her hunter pets.

Clotho (named after the Fate who spins the thread of life)
Black Widow (http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/skins/skin_minespiderskinsteel.shtml)

Splat (because it’s a fun spider name)
Zarakh (http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_zarakh.shtml)

Spiders actually make decent pets for leveling. My female NE is about level 45 and all she’s used are spider pets. But I expect they would have more trouble holding agro in Outland than a pet with more damage output. At least that’s what I’ve found with my pink tallstrider. I do hope Blizzard will one day continue giving the rest of our pets the skills that would make them more fun to adventure with. But as it’s been over three years thus far I’m not holding my breath.
