Advice on how to make 1-40 easier?Follow

I just made a Priest, and so far so good :)

I have also made a post in here yesterday, about how hard it was to play as priest solo,

Now my question is:

Do you guys have any good, solid advice on how to make my path to lvl 40 easier? Please, any suggestion will do :) Everything from builds to in-game-playing-tactics.

Also it could also be a guide for other priests in my situation :)

I play two priests, one shadow and one is going down the discipline path. Since the 2.3 patch leveling has become insanely easy because of the increased xp per kill/quest.

I play mostly solo, so this is what I do. I line up all my quests so I am not wasting time running around willy nilly. Get a nice cartographer mod w/coordinates. I also use Lightheaded for notes on quests. Makes it quicker to get multiple quests done in a row = more xp = faster lvling.

Second, pre shadowform, I used the following spell rotation. Smite Smite, SW:P shield, mind blast, wand to finish them off.

I carry a set of healing gear with me, but don't worry about that too much, just keep plenty of mana pots, bandages, etc in your bags at all times. Once you get to Outland, all your gear will get much better.

Run instances for your level, get all the quests lined up before you go. You get good gear/quest rewards plus a lot of XP.

I hope I managed to answer some of your question.

The first piece of advice I would give you is to get a good wand. A lesser magic wand and then a greater magic wand will serve you well in the beginning. If you know a chanter, they can make them for you very cheap.

Next, leveling as shadow is much easier than leveling holy, especailly if you plan on soloing alot. That having been said, it CAN be done as holy, but since you asked for tips to make it easier, go with shadow.

Improve your +int & +stamina as much as possible, + spirit next. Put your first five talent points in Spirit tap for less downtime, and the next 5 in wand spec to make your wand more effective.

I used to think that getting a questing buddy would make leveling alot easier on a priest, being a clothie and all, but with the latest patch everything seems to be much more solo-able. I still like playing with other people though!

As far as in-game playing tactics, it's kind of hard for me to genearlize it, but use your Power Word Shield to keep from having your spells interrupted, and use your wand alot. This will help keep your mana up so you have less downtime.

That's really about all I can think of right now to make it easier on you. I'm sure others will fill in everything else.
