PET LOST ABILITY Follow

I went to the Pet Trainer and unlearned Pet Points.

Why: My first pet while leveling it up had points and I maxed them out in all I could (Boar).
I decided I wanted a cool pet the DEVIATE ADDER in Wailing Caverns and had a high lvl get me in there and I tamed the adder. Nice had Poison Spit for ability but I realized I had no points to train him at Pet Trainer. So I figured it must be because I had maxed out my Boar. Figuring I would remove the pet points and put them for my Adder I untrained the Pet to regain points.

Didnt work. What happened was it removed the ability Poison Spit.

Now I am concerned the only way I can regain Poison Spit is to have to go back to Wailing Caverns again.

You may be saying, well thats not hard go with a group and retame another Adder. Theres the dilemna, I cant because I am close to dinging and got good gear that I use in Battlegrounds and I want to stay in the 10 to 19 lvl bracket.

So is my only option to have to go back with a high lvl whom will have to wipe everything out until I get to retame another adder or is there an EASIER OPTION?

Your pets don't share one big talent point pool. Each pet has points based on level and loyalty. Those points your boar has don't affect your snake. If you just tamed the pet it will likely have no points if it is your level, or negative points if it comes with an ability already (like poison spit).

Check your Beast Training ability for Poison Spit. When you use an ability with a pet, at some point you will "learn" it so you can teach it to other pets that can use it. If you can find Poison Spit in there, you can retrain it to your snake once it gains enough loyalty/levels to increase its talent points. If it's not there, time to go find a new snake.
