Does Shadow Reach affect Silence?Follow

Title says it all. I'm debating about whether I should get Silence. I play exclusively PvE and usually with a hunter partner, so getting some more range to match his extended range with Hawk Eye is appealing.

I'm not sure as I've never really looked. However, the talent description says that it increases the range of your shadow damage spells so I would tend toward a no? I'll have to see when the servers come back up.

Silence is not affected by Shadow Reach. I distinctly remember several casting mobs that were in range of SW:P, SW:D, etc. but having to get much closer to them to cast silence.

If only Mind Flay rec'd the range... I still might be shadow spec'd, ah well we can still dream, cant we?

Mind Flay does benefit from the talent ... it just has a short range to start with so even with added range it's still gimpy.

I reached the point where I could put 2 points into Shadow Reach. Now the tooltip for Silence says 24 yards instead of 20.

Note also that Shadow Reach says it affects Shadow offensive spells, not just damage spells.
