Disc in pve and pvpFollow

#1 Nov 27 2007 at 12:26 AM Rating: Decent
After played paly tank for ages i wanna try something new like healing and also be abelt o PVP since protpalas sucks in that mather :p
after loking into my talent trees i found disctree to be cool.. really fun talents there like reflective dmg shield and dmg reducing effects etc, and i thougt it could be more fun to try disc then going shadow as everyone else aswell =P

hmm what i would like to know from experienced ppl is how is the dmg from disc side in pve.. is it possible to kill ppl fast enough? ir is it just some a tank/heal-them-out-tree? with a SW:P hanging in their face?

and how is it to heal as disc in pve? since i wouldnt get that many of the reduced heal costs and improved effects etc. would that effect my pvp healing aswell in a bad way?

first i layed points to be somekind of holy nuker since it seemed cool but to many 5/5 talents in disc tree to get so it wasnt possible to get that :(

atm my aim is like this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxxhzhgtdcqtf0xh
Cheers!

My 51 priest has spirit tap and improved SW:P in shadow but all other points are in Disc and I love it.

I never played shadow so I don't know how fast they kill mobs but as Disc I know I can kill mobs 4 levels higher in quick succession without drinking which is what I love most about it.

I heal just fine in instances as well, as all the Disc intellect improvements offset some of the discounted mana cost of heal spells in holy tree. I don't really need to drink there either if I'm with a good party.

Best things I like about Disc are reflective shield (no agg from reflects and with improved shield, gives you loads of time to bubble them then get off big heal), divine spirit (another thing that really helps in parties with healing), big boost to stamina buff and to armor.

I do believe I am going to put three points into holy renew as its the one constantly used in parties.
