363 with precision, because there's no more weapon skill.

Yes,

Weapon mastery no longer gives +hit. Which means we just got a nice PvE nerf...

3.5%, or 15.77 * 3.5 = 55.195.

The formula for calculating your miss chance is based on weapon skill. If you're more than 10 points off the mob's defense (as in, a level 73 boss), you get a much higher base miss chance. The first 5 weapon skill gives you about 3% hit. Every point after is .1%. Now that skill is out the window, the hit cap has jumped up a whole lot. On the surface, this looks like a PvE nerf, but Expertise is significantly better than Hit rating, since it scales all your damage, not just white hits. The increased hit cap also leaves us a lot more room to gear for +hit, which is the best way to scale your DPS in a raid setting.

isnt expertise completely useless in pve? since rogues attack mobs... from behind in raid settings? i thought behind = no dodge, no parry automatically lol

might just be parry though? or just a silly rumor from before bc when everyone loved makin up ****?

Nope in PvE mobs can dodge from behind.

No because mobs can still dodge or parry (one of the two can't remember which one atm) even while being hit from behind.

Weapon Expertise went from a great PvE talent to a good PvE talent to a so-so talent :\

Anyways, yeah hit cap went up cause of the new changes blah blah blah.

its good though, at least imo. its more damage. Might take more to get it but you dont cap out so early.

Just because you have to put a bit more +hit back in your gear doesn't mean you're not getting a net gain out of the whole deal, thanks to expertise reducing part of the combat table that was previously untouchable.
