...and we went 4-6. Not bad considering that our team make-up isn't really optimal, and all of us except one are in nearly full PvE gear. Once Season 3 hits, we're all going to grind honor for S1 gear, and I imagine that things will go much smoother.

We subbed the mage in for a shadow priest after the latter had to log off for family issues.
I guess I'm looking for advice. I know that rogues aren't the greatest in 5v5, and we lack damage soakers (WTB Arms warrior), but I couldn't quite figure out my role. Whenever I tried to lock down a healer, I either burned him down embarrasingly fast (i.e. the other team had poor communication), or I was killed so quick, I barely had time to hit my trinket. After getting pwned a few times, we tried putting me on healer protection, which seemed to be a 50-50 strategy; it only worked when they had a rogue or rawr kitty trying to lock down our healer.
Any advice? General tips?
Oh yeah, and don't tell me I suck, because I already know that.

3 instant aoe fears? twin d-coil? sounds like maybe (and this very limited but hey, sounds like you and i got the same amount of 5v5 experience) you guys could all mount up, bomb a aoe fear, focus fire
1 lock curse of shadows, 1 lock curse of exhaustion, you go twin wound to bum rush the heal reduction
and just suicide blitz focus fire.... raiding fire mage should have some decent fire damage to unload, tons of aoe fear to **** **** up... 2 locks = 2 felhunters, ruin their spell casting
again, the idea is limited.... but lower end, my team did bum-rush surprise 4 man focus fire... and it worked pretty decent
with a UA's dispel coverage, your bumrush wound stacking... and aoe fear/sheep if needed to interrupt the flow... you could prob pick up a quick kill and immediately make it 4v5, heavily increasing your chance of making it... well... 3v5 and so forth hehe
