And so far, I'm very impressed. While I lose a ton of flat out DPS, the survivability and versatility is the most beautiful thing since Prep i've ever seen. Now... I understand why it's called Lolstep.

:P

The damage multipliers for burst in Sub-tree is really awesome if you are honor-farming in BG's (what I am doing to get that S1 Gear). What I have been experimenting with lately is Expose Armor, all since I decided to take the new ShS out for a testspin:

Mind you this is not for Plate/Papa Bear:

Premed ->Garotte->Shiv,
Expose armor (Have Imp EA and Serrated ofc) and hit evasion, fight/kite and build 5 CP & <35% HP.
Vanish and immediately hit ShS, hit Eviscerate in Stealth and BAM!

15% Imp. Evisc
20% or more on Imp. EA
20% Dirty Deeds
10% Master of Sutblety
20% ShS
..........................................

85% increase on your Eviscerate and suddently I understand why Blizz ain't buffing it.
It hits like a truck if it crits. If it doesn't, well you are a Rogue so u are used to it. ShS is really tons of fun, makes the rogue feel ninja and yes, I belive you who will pound in and say "LOL @ ShS-Sub in Arena +2300 NOOOB", this is bg and crap-geared ppl like myself, ok?

I'm pretty sure he just meant he was never going to have his ratings at 2k+ so where he is it works splendidly.

Why waste a vanish to ShS evis??

edit : I'd rather give up that 10% and save my vanish

Shadowstep Hemo actually does very well in arena, it just requires a different role.

Rogues in 5v5 are NOT DPS burn down machines: we're anti-healers. Toss up a MH mind numbing and OH crippling poison, pick on the paladin and stay on him. Have your team target the other healer, or if the team was smarmy enough to only have one target the softest DPS. You will slowly kill the paladin, and more importantly he won't be able to get a single heal off without bubbling, especially since ShS will keep him from ever being able to reasonably kite you. One rogue can completely shut down a team's healer and it is in this role that we excel in 5v5's. Even more awesome is Cheat Death, which if you and your healers are anywhere near competent saves you from being bursted down by the other team so you can keep right on doing your job.

Shadowstep in 3v3 works in pretty much the same way. I think it is a little less powerful in 2v2 than straight up DPS specs, but since this is the least rated bracket it doesn't seem to matter.

Shadowstep basically gives the rogue class their own way of fighting, so no more emulating warriors. That's why I love it so much.

Again myteddy, I picked up that tactic from you lol.

That's how I play in a 5v5 now and it seems to work a lot better than my previous methods heh.

Was giving an oyvey to your tactic/advice. It's not very smart.

Not sure how you picked that up from me tbh. I rarely talk about 5s, nor would I ever do that in a 5s match.
