Can anyone give a few pointers on defeating the Maiden of Virtue without a Paladin?

Long story shot, we had two paladins but they left when enough people couldn't make a run (as in a single run) and they figured we all didn't care about raiding and it's left my guild with a major cockblock since we have no other paladins and we can't recruit one that's not a idiot/begger/etc.

We've been able to get her down to ~25%. The first two or three Repentances I can make it through just fine from the HOTs, potions, healthstones, seeds, Last Stand and Shield Wall. But after those are all on cooldown, nothing we've tried has been able to keep me up through it. We have everyone within range of the dispellers, the melee dps bandages/potions just fine, the ranged dps and healers are normally fine, we might lose one because the dispel hit half a second to late.

So, does anyone have tips or tricks with beating that she-man? Thanks in advance.

Just have you healers walk into the concencration just prior to repentence. There is a fine line though between being in the concencration and being in far enough to get silenced.

Another option is to simply drag maiden over to you healers for a sec to let her put a concencration down under then then back to your normal tanking spot. Either way it knocks your healers back in to action. Even if they do get silenced it's only for 2 seconds. Much better than the full duration of repentence.

EDIT: Also remember to have your healers stack you up with hots.

We've tried both of those strategies, with varying degrees of success. Just have to keep at it I guess. All I can say is that she better drop her gloves! Smiley: nod
I'm still kinda miffed that I passed the Boots of Elusion to the pally that left 2 days later.

Jim's right, it sounds like you just need a healer to run in right before her AOE Repentance.

There's mods which display a progress bar for that ability, if your healers aren't already running it. Just run in a few seconds ahead of it, watch for the ranged guys to get Repented, and run back out and begin healing again.

Sounds like that might be the only thing you guys need, especially if your ranged guys are surviving okay and healer mana is good. Good luck!

As said above a druid in AoE range is a good idea.

Another "oh ****" consumable you can use is Seed of Coruption.

It worked well for me during Prince second phase (just after Last Stand :P and if I didn't felt brave or DPS were asleep before Shield Wall :P)

You can try as well a forgotten tactic from Gruul - have a second warrior intervene during repentence to get 1 hit.

You mentioned dispellers? I play warlock as a main. Get an affliction warlock to dispell for ur raid using felhunter. This frees up the healing spots that cleansers would be giving while due to the primarily DOT based dmg of the lock dps wouldnt sufer terribly. Using the cast time indicater or Boss- Mods get all the healers to HoT you up before she casts. This way you should be getting overlapped healing while stunned. Meaning you have a better chance of surviving.

A VERY useful trick i picked up on my maybe 6th time doing maiden, was to use intercept on one of your healers right after she casts it. I use a macro /cast intercept healers name. After running to your healers, just quickly run back into the middle (i usually pot here). Makes the fight alot more easier, allowing me to save all my cooldowns for emergency situation. I personally think using a health stone instead of a seed thingy is the better choice, but thats just me.

Good lucks =)

Oh and make sure your hp is as high as possible, more a buffer for the silences keke. Thunderclap on maiden also helps, so she only hits you 20% less. Commanding shout, warlock, priest buff, druid buff, and blessing of kings, foods, and elixirs of course, help keke.

i tanked maiden for the first time last night and we got her down on the second try. the first time, i was a bit late walking her over to one of my healers after repentance and also didn't keep her in the middle enough (consecration hit too many people). the second time, i walked her over to every healer which wasn't necessary, i forgot about the pally healer's sacrifice, but we downed her anyway. not a difficult fight imo if the healers/dispellers are up to par.

To be honest, you don't really need to walk to your healers or anything of the sort...Just tank maiden right smack dab in the middle. Make sure the healers are spread out around the platform and keep in range of you. Make sure you dispel Holy Fire.

I think you can also Spell Reflect Holy Wrath, but I can't remember. Also, if you want a better setup, have your healers and ranged people hug the walls and get into position that way.

Right before the healers get silence, they should cast hots on you and make sure to use shield block or something to that extent. This is where Druid Healers RAWK!

Maiden went and died tonight! We had an extra healing slot open and a holy pally came in. Maiden went down on the second attempt. She even decided to be nice and drop her gloves :)
