Haha sorry I'm piling so many questions into this.
I had the hunter vs. lock pvp question too, but luckily someone posted it and the replies were super helpful.
So all of this is building up and bothering me since I hit 70.

PvP Help.
I need some good pvp tips. I'm starting to realize I really suck at pvp. What curses are important to have hotkeyed?
Right now my big problem is, I'll send my felguard out, dot with Curse of Agony, and then find I'm getting hit too bad to pop out another dot.
My normal order of spells for pvp AND pve usually goes Curse of Agony-Corruption-Immolate-Incinerate/Shadowbolts-Drain Life OR Shadowburn finish off.
Or if a rogues on me, hit deathcoil a zillion times so it goes off the second I'm unstunned, then fear then dots. But generally I'm dead before I can do anything.

Talents!
I've been reading allll the talent build posts I can on here and it's helping a little but not enough.. I've heard from so many different people what the best spec is. I started out destro before I understood how to play the game well, I just picked one and went with it all the way. Went demon at 62 and it was great for leveling.
Now that its arena, farming, and pvp time. I want a good spec for everything overall.
My friend supposedly is in the top 3 or 10 or one of those numbers, in arena when he does it, and said affliction is the best for pvp/arena. I convinced someone to go destro when I was destro, and now he says HE'S doing amazing in pvp with it and its the best.

so which way is really the best? And since everyone plays different and there may not be a "best"...opinions? I'd really like to go destro but I'm not sure now.

Arena Partner
Talent build connects with this.. the same friend that said affliction is the best, also told me some good pairs for arena 2v2, which I want to do asap. I want some opinions from here, because sorry, but he's cocky, he knows I need help and he's insisting he knows everything and he's always right.
This is what he gave me.
Affliction Lock + Holy Pally
Affliction Lock + Frost Mage
Destro + Fire mage = kinda ok
Affliction really doesn't appeal to me at all, but if I really really need to try it, I will.
I've also read that for starting out 2v2, demonology is good with the felguard. So is destro an option for 2v2? and I kinda decided I'm going to try jumping into arena with my boyfriend and take a shot at the destro + fire mage deal and just see how it goes, but if demonology might be better...should I stay in demon?

If anyone has any good builds, I'm open to looking, I'm really needing some change and help here =o.
thanks so much!!

Hi there.
Ok,so lets start.I can tell you some of my hotkeyes, they use me well.btw im 43\7\11.
q-iHot
e-shadowbolt
r-CoEx
f-fear
c-shadowburn
shift-r -cot
1,2,3,4,5 etc - whatever u want and use most frequent ,i have corr, coa,sl,immo, etc

Some addons that would come very handy in arena - proximo ,necb(nature enemy cast bar),focus frame .thats about it.
I cant stress out how much it is needed to use focus and macro.
I have macro for ,pet attacking totems ,void sacrifise-feldom-summon felhunter,SPELL LOCK,devour magic and some others.

Felguard is ok for 5v5 ,i would strongly recommend using felhunter. Its much more superior to felguard.

Spec:
I was for long time sl\sl because its best spec if you have sucky gear.Right now
im at 12k hp and 400 resi, and aff is at its best now.Ua protects all my dots ,insta hot and other goodies make aff best no doubt.

well known fact is that resto drood and lock are very very imba combo.but i had rogue ,s priest, holy pala and i had best times with s priest who was very good geared and skilled.

there are too much fineses and little details to look in arena matches to write now, besides i took a break from wow so i cant remember all.

arenajunkies.com ,wowwiki.com etc ,look for info .

anyway,my advice ,drop felguard ,take aff or sl\sl ,do bgs ,get s1 glad and veteran parts,in the meantime make arena team.it can suck and be lousy but you will get POINTS every week.after week ,2,3 ,voila ,cynide will pwn.
good luck

Wow, thanks for all of that. =D
I really don't like using letters as hot keys, I have the F1-F12 keys set up and another row I can click.

I just downloaded Focus Frame and I'm installing it now =] it looks really helpful.

I have no idea how macros work though, I've looked at the /macro thing but I really don't understand it, but I'm sure good old google can help me with that.

Is either of those specs good for pve and farming stuff as well?

Dont forget to get proximo ,it would be great if your partner had it also. Most helpful arena addon by far.

For macros, either wowiki or google and search for yourself.

that aff spec is great for farming and pve ,instances, heroics, raids, whatever
sl\sl can use for farming but for pve it sucks,no dps.

again,if you got low resilience ,around 150 or lower go sl\sl ,you dont have to ofc,but for 2v2 lower gear sl\sl is the spec.after you buff yourself with hp around 11k and some resi around 200 ,you can go aff.

I got no experience with destro, tried it and sucked at it.
If it means something to you, almost all top locks are aff or sl\sl or something in between. Not much destro there.

edit: if you go aff you use felhunter in arena NOT imp D

Ok, getting proximo too now =]
I'm so weird and picky about things...
I use TitanPanel and threatmeter or something, but I'm pretty **** about how my screen looks, I hate add ons for the most part if I can see them. But proximo and focus look good.
My mage partner uses a lot of add ons, and I think he has proximo.

I think I'm going to try the sl/sl. There's just a lot of things in both talent builds that I don't think I'd want to use, like my pet gaining part of my mana from life tip.
But its worth a shot.

I also think my felhunter needs updated so I can get him ready for pvp =]

remember that if your felhunter doesnt have mana ,it cant spell lock or devour magic.so when that priest\pala\shammy\drood starts healing and you cant spell lock it ,you WILL get pissed.
its not making all the difference in the world, but if you go that deep in demo, why not taking it.
good luck :)
