combat hammer spec question.....Follow

#1 Nov 26 2007 at 1:45 PM Rating: Decent
....Don't worry....I'm not gonna put down some ****** spec and ask everyone to rate it....I am going combat hammers and I am wondering if I should put 11 points into assasination so I can get ruthlessness/relentless strikes for cp and enery regeneration, or go down the sub tree for the prep? I am torn, it seems that the cp and energy regeneration is essential....but prep will provide an additional stun....along with another sprint...ect ect.....So I guess I'm asking arena rogues what you like and have been most successful with...thx for the time.....

You can't be AR/Prep and have Assasination talents.

So decide what you want.

19/42/0 and AR/Prep both work in arena. Thats about all I can say since you didn't link your build or tell us your playstyle other than you are combat maces Some questions you might want to answer:

Since you said 11 points, are you going 50 points into combat?
Are you taking points in the sub tree with your planned build?

ok so answering your questions, I didn't link my talent tree cause I haven't decided it yet and my current one is not combat maces. I planned 11 in ***/ so I could get to relentless strikes...was gonna go down the combat tree to adreneline rush....perhaps 2 points in stun/root resist....and was gonna throw the remaining into improved stealth/stealth detection ect...OR the other idea was go to adreneline rush....then go sublety to prep....but my worry with that spec was c point production. Very new to 70 and pretty new to pvp...but I am definatly aiming to spec for arena....hope that answers some of your questions.

I don't agree with putting points in malice for crit chance since its an arena build and resilience kills crit. Putting points into talents for more AP is the better option imo.

I was gonna make that optional, but if it's a new 70, you are lacking in crit to begin with. Just because Resil kills crit, doesn't mean you don't or shouldn't have a decent amount of it.

As a new 70 i would guess his crit to be between 16-20% WITH Malice. Losing that sends shivers down my spine.

I just had a friend that said "help me respec" and wiped his talents clean. I had him go AR/Prep with malice heh. He was only at 13% crit without talents but hes also just 66. I nabbed those vendor fists from that consortium vendor and went malice/fist spec to bump it to 23%. Its been long enough I forgot crit could actually sit that low-
