I'm going to be bringing my driud into kara for the first time tuesday and I'd like a critique of my gear. I'm sitting at 12.4k hp selfbuffed, 19.4k armor, and just a tad under 27% dodge. Here is my armory.

I know I need to replace my bracers and gloves with quest rewards I pick up in SMV. I just haven't gotton them as of yet.

You should try taking a look at the Sticky, as it points to Anathor's shopping list for pre-Kara tank gear.

You seem to have decent stats overall. Get a few upgrades and you should be good to go, I believe.

PVP bracers are 12k honor, you can pound that out in one AV weekend and they'll last you a good while*. Definitely get Verdant/Wastewalker Gloves though, and you could stand a better belt too; Manimal's Cinch is a great quested one, and there's a few green and blue "of the Monkey" variety that are better.

I personally socketed the clefthoof gear according to matching colors since Dodge Rating is useful. I also put 12 stam into the blue sockets since you're likely to have the pieces a while unless you plan on getting S2/3 chest. (T4 is better in all cases, but you have to get lucky for the right tokens to drop, etc, and you'd have to commit the gems/enchants on the T4 to tanking, making the pieces potentially subpar for kitty.)

Trinkets are meh but aren't really a breaking point of any tank, usually; I'd still look into replacements, many of which are purchasable (whether via faction vendors or AH/trade). Charm of Alacrity is an ok ******** button but doesn't give you anything passive.

All that said, your raw stats seem to agree with the consensus of what you need to hop into Kara; I'm just of the opinion that you can never be too prepared, especially for a raid, so just meeting the minimum isn't always a good idea. :x

* If you really hate PVP, Umberhowl's Collar is a questable alternative, and still lightyears better than what you have; it's along the same line for Verdant Gloves and Manimal's Cinch I believe, so that makes it even easier to get.

Place the better blue gems in your gear...it adds up.
Your other stats look fine. You're already aware of the other gear you need to pickup.
I wouldn't go tanking prince just yet, but to start out in Kara? sure.
