I'm currently leveling up as feral (26 so far) and it's all good fun so far.

My aim when starting was to make a resto druid for endgame. But i really want to have had some practice beforehand.

My thinking is to stay feral and then once ZF is an option to turn healer, head to 49, PvP some and then get to 58 (maybe as another spec), do some ramps and BF and stay 59/60 for AV as a healing twink for a bit.

Now my problem comes with wanting a spec which is healing based but still has solo ability. In this case should my solo play be more caster or melee based? Could anyone do me a quick mock spec for 60, saying which to leave out at 40ish.

Would leveling 40-60 is a right pain? I just love instancing :)

resto druids are the strongest soloing druids in terms of what they can kill. now, in terms of the SPEED with which they kill...well, lets just say you need patience.

for soloing, try:

youre best off with a smattering some points in feral for solo ability, the rest gives you good healing ability and preps you for healing as a tree druid. it also gives more survivability should you need to go feral, and allows you to off-tank or even main-tank instances if the need arises.

I'm curious, what does the attack sequence look like with a build like this? How much are you using feral forms vs. spells in a fight?
