this goes out to the pvp locks, 7/43/11(felguard) or 24/37/0(sl/sl). I pvp 99% of the time and im not sure which way to go, the felguard is a beast and i love shadowburn, but at the same time i really enjoy nightfall and siphon life. opinins please

well my problem is the felguard spec is not puting out enough dps in arena anymore with all the new gear, do you all think that it is worth giving up all the demo talents for deep aff?

Spec depends on 2v2,3v3,5v5 etc...also depends on team setup and other factors. Felguard puts out good damage, you still get SL, and you can make a priests life really tough with CoT + felguard on them.

Yes,its all about setup really, but roughly for 5v5 felguard is great, for 3v3 can be good and 2v2 its not good.Felguard is great against clothies, interrupt vs healers and intercept, but vs high armor classes its a joke.

You can use it despite that ofc.deep aff is good because your dots wont be dispelled, you have insta howl of terror and shadowburn if you spec for it.

If I took arena more seriously

2v2 - drain/outlast setup, SL/SL with a PVP geared resto druid
3v3 - burst/kill spec with an AR/prep rogue + disc priest, probably UA/sburn
5v5 - either a drain oriented team, or some sort of burst team. Alot of 5s teams have a priest or resto shaman along with a paladin healer, and sticking a pally buffed felguard on a shaman or priest will really ***** up their casting (combined with CoT of course).

SL/SL is really only good for 2v2 with a healer who can survive, its decent for 3v3 in the right type of outlast setup. If your 3v3 partner is pure burst dps, you probably want a burst build to help with that.
