I would not be at my "max DPS potential" if I was Seducing, either. Remember, the times I have done that, I fell right to the bottom of the list. This is not an uncommon problem.

Show me one Warlock who went in to an instance who has never used to succubus before and instantly masters it. The succubus is not an easy minion to use. She's very fragile and has a limited mana pool and her cast is channeled. You will have a hard time finding a Warlock who goes into an instance saying "I love using the succubus". Does she suck? Yeah.

The point I'm trying to get across is that to put her in the wastebasket and figure she is useless will only hurt you in the long run. Your VW works fine for now, proper cc or not, you survive and thats all that matters, but eventually he will be become situational. This is the point, all minions are situational. They all have their flaws and strengths. To just look at a succubus' flaws without looking at her strengths is gunna hurt you. To just look at the VW's strengths and ignoring the flaws will also hurt you.

Learn the ins and outs of each minion and when it is best to use them.

Actually, I beleive I did mention CoS before the Seduce, and Searing Pain right before it breaks so that you keep aggro, not your fragile Succy. Also, using the right macro, you never have to change your target. Put a Searing Pain on Focus Macro next to it, use DoTimer and it becomes really easy. I thought it was going to be a pain too, and when asked to seduce, I still look for any and all viable option before seducing. Like when the tank forgets we have a mage. However, I learned how to seduce, set up the macros for it, and after the first 2 pulls having to seduce, I was doing pretty good. Now, I have no problems with it, and almost enjoy doing it as I can keep up ALL DPS whilst seducing. Most of the time you don't even need the Searing Pain.

Yea my bad with all these post your eyes get cross sided after a while looking and reading them all. I just come on this website while I am at work to past time, but anyways to the OP your going to haft to get used to using your succy for sedduce you werent given a quest to get her unless she was viable for something in my case shes the most viable pet cuz im full destro. Learn to play every aspect of your class and you will be wanted way more often and get way better gear.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is there not a quest to obtain ALL the minions (if you are not Demonology)?

Yup. And what does that mean? All pets have a use, though they all tend to be situational. Succubus, for instance... is useful for CC. *Gasp*

That, right there, is a sign that some school out there has yet to teach how to use formal logic because, while the conclusion my be someone accurate, this is still one of the dumbest things I've seen in a long time.

So, not all the pets don't have a use? Or are you just feeling like nitpicking and going after the method with which I came to the conclusion rather than what the conclusion itself is? I mean, sure, I was using inductive reasoning here, but that's technically fine.

If you'd like to correct me, go ahead. But hey, who does that these days, right? Helping people learn is for saps.
