Some time ago I started thinking what happen with assasination tree(full mutilate rogues like me at this moment)when 3/4 of a serwer will be equipt on Arena season 1 gear.
From 1-58 lvl i have been subtelity rogue but I PvP very rarely and want lvl quick so I change for Combat tree and leveling became much easier.
But playstyle of combat rogue is boooring,so I respec for mutilate(41/20)and I like it(CP generation is superb),on battlegrands is good too.
In near future I want to start arena 2vs2 and propably 3vs3 and heroic instances.
And my main question is-can Mutilate be playable in world where almast all ppl will be equipt on Gladiator sets?
Can I be good in Pvp and kill quick with that spec?
Can I be good dps on Heroic instances?
Or I need to respec for 31/30 for arena and 11/27/23 for heroic instances?
Is hard to me cuz I really like Muti:/

Mutilate is already dead, free season 1 will just facilitated that. YOu can still pvp somewhat well as mut, but you're being very masochistic. Everything is much easier and overall much more fun as combat maces or shadowstep swords. Daggers are dead for PVP.

I play combat muti and I do fine in arena. (1950 in both 2s and 3s with tier 2 combos.) I have to say it's not really by choice though. It's because I dont have any swords/maces/fists. AR/Prep has so many more advantages and options in arena that it's hard to pass up.
I do quite well in BG's right now as a 41/0/20 Rogue but I only have epic daggers, I would love to try out an AR/Prep build but I need the right weapons first.

So grab the arena season 1 swords or maces is according to your answers the one and only option.
Is sad-that Cp generation is really nice.

Hemo matches it pretty closely due to not having to be conditional and crit reliant.

No it doesn't.
30 energy per CP at the worst doesn't come close to matching it, nevermind that arena hemo won't have any points in assassination.
CP generation on hemo isn't even close to mut.
Hemo is still 35 energy per CP, and you're not going to get Ruthlessness as hemo.
So yeah, you're incredibly wrong.
I swore off posting responses to Theo in fear of his wrath, but i think shao meant in terms of "damage" and ability to succeed in the arena. Not CP generation.

"crit reliant" implies CP generation.
