Hi.

Im having trouble as to where I should spend my badges on my hunter. Currently, on my 70 hunter, I have been getting into heroics a little more, getting to know the new guild and maxing out the leatherworking. Here is my armory profile (I hope this works)

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarlet+Crusade&n=Palintanta

I have relativly o.k gear and am still working on it. At the moment I have 16 badges of Justice. I have no real set time to do heroics and just do them whenever I get asked by some guildies so it could be a while before I run a heroic again(as I lack any drive to start something myself). As of late I have been browsing the gear you can buy with the badges. There are 3 items on there that have gained my intrest. The items that I have fancied are The Choker of Vile Intent, The Blood Knight War Cloak and the Primal Nether. I am intrested in the Pimal Nether as I have just maxed out my leatherworking and have trained to make my Ebon Netherscale set.

So my question I pose to you, what item would be the most worthwile for me? I have been leaning to the Choker, as my hit is kind of low and even 8 hit rating would be a help. Even though I like the Choker, the cloak has its benefits too. Also, with buying the primal Nether, I would be able to make my belt and would be closer to the full set. But if I start making my Ebon Netherscale set, until I have the full set, I lose out on 20 hit rating (Felstalker/Ebon Netherscale set bonuses). With the dailies, that would mean it would only take 2 runs (of the right place) to get enough for an item. So would it be worth it to wait and get a Necklace/Cloak or would being able to make the belt now help me out much more?

the ebon netherscale belt really isnt all that good and replaceable in karazhan.
The chestpiece is the one piece you really want.

Other then that, as well the necklace, the cloak or any of the other mail items are good ;)

Don't waste badges on primal nethers - you should pick yours when you are doing heroics.

I see a primal nether drop about every other heroic I run, so don't waste your badges on that.

Between the choker and cloak... Re-gem the choker with red +16 AP gems, and get the cloak. If you start running Kara, an almost identical neck-piece drops off the first boss.

I'm saving my badges for the epic legs that came out with 2.3...only 26 badges left to go >.< Hopefully I can get a few heroics in this weekend and if I'm lucky, come Tuesday after work I can pick up and equip a total of 3 new epics (maybe even 4 if AV weekend fills the gaps between the Heroics I'm hoping to get in).

It seems like Blizzard is trying to help expedite people through the gear progression phases so they can get as far into TBC end-game as possible without having to grind raids for months for the gear they need to progress.

Love it.

Now if only they'd up the drop rate on the sonic spear, or make it easier to grind Honor Hold rep =(

It's actually fairly easy to get to Revered with either Honor Hold or Thrallmar. But only if the player knows to avoid what looks like the logical path for rep, which is to start picking up and completing quests at either of those cities as soon as they land in Outlands. Instead, you've got to grind rep via kills and Instance runs until they no longer give any, and then start doing the quests. If this route isn't taken it is a long, hard slog to either Revered or Exalted.

Well, then they need to balance that out. From a "hard-core zomg plan everything out before you take a single step" view, that's fine. But from an actual game-play and role-play perspective, that's a bunch of ********* We shouldn't be penalized for doing quests as they come to us.

Don't quests depreciate as you go up in the ranks?
