I've been looking into the destruction tree for theorycrafting/kicks and I was wondering about this talent's viability. For those that don't know what this talent is:

Now if my math is correct, (I am basing this on "perfect probability") ~6% of the damage from these spells should come back to the caster as health. Depending on the amount of +spell damage you have and how much health you have the viability of this could vary greatly. I guess Im asking 2 things.

1. How is this talent pre 70? (PvP and PvE)
2. How is this talent post 70? (PvP and PvE)

you shouldn´t go that deep into the detruction tree before lvl 70. Someone stated it really nice i am afraid i can´t remember who it was, but it was something like "leveling with destro, is like a mage without CC".

this is the standard heavy dmg raid-specc:

where you do actually not alot more than spam shadowbolt and corruption, even though we spent 5 points in improved Immolate and 5 points into Emberstorm, bearing in mind that we rarely cast any firespells this would be/are 11 points wasted.

So here is what you came up with for more selfsustainability using the talent soul leech and trying to get rid of the skills we won´t need.

Goind deep into the destruction tree means you lose alot of surviveability in pvp, so this is for raiding mostly.

- Cataclysm for less life drain
- 1 point in aftermath to reach the higher tiers
- just 2 points in the soul lech talent, since you want you crit at max.
